UPDATED: FEB 16, 2018 Draft to taster in a flight at Madtree during the anniversary week festivities. Pours a clear light golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, corn, mild fruit, grass, gets overwhelmed by the bigger beers on tap.

can - Clear light gold pour. Malty, grainy aroma. The flavor is sweet and grainy with some corn and a little mild hops bitterness. Light bodied. I guess it's good compared to most of the pale lagers out there, but that's not saying much.

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear pale yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of straw, yeast and light earthiness palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread and light yeast with a smooth dry finish.

Can. Corn, barley malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Mildly sweet corn, barley malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Good body.

Very light bodied beer. Good for hot days when you need to keep hydrated, but not that flavorful

Can sent by Sun King for Review. My pour, into an admittedly small sample glass, is light yellow, and with a fizzy white head that disappears quickly. There was a bit of alcohol in the smell at first, but that was during the pour. What’s left is a hint of light malt, what I call the bowling alley beer smell. The taste is indeed crisp, with only enough hop to keep the malt from getting sweet. Yes, it’s like a megabrewed light lager, but a lot of those can show the faults of cheap production, while others will hit the spot under the right circumstances, like a hot summer night (hello, Schaefer Light). It’s not a hot summer night now, and I’m drinking this out of a fridge, but not too cold that I can’t taste it.

Faint aromas overall. There is some sweet dough malt, lemon, and citrus. Taste is dough malt, light lemon and mandarin orange, and light grassy hops and maybe a touch of wheat.

Rated on 5-02-2017. Can marked 23Mar17. The appearance is a medium sized white head that quickly dissipated, transparent light yellow body, fast rising carbonation observed, and no lacing. The aroma is yeast, sweet, and pale malt. The flavor presents yeast, light hops, crisp, very pale malt, and semi-sweet. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and crisp. This beer is light-medium bodied. This is an easy drinking beer and overall it is not a bad beer but it is not a great beer either. It is not one of my favorite Sun King beers for sure.

Can: Clear gold with a shot white head. Barley malt, a touch of honey/lemon scent. Taste is barley malt....very basic, grains and yeast...a little peppery...... A decent lager, but WAY over-priced.
