b3shine (8940) - Indiana, USA - MAY 21, 2014
Draft to taster. According to the description at The Tap, this beer is brewed with Indiana-grown popcorn. Looks solid; a tcompletely transparent light gold with foamy white head. Smells of mild hops and pilsner malt and what seems to be a hint of popcorn. I could just be looking for it though. Tastes like it smells with a subpar mouthfeel that is dull and has no snap whatsoever. Eh.

Can... Clear yellow pour with a large, pillowy, white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is a mingling of mildly toasted malts and spicy, peppery Euro-hops. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor leans toward the bitter side of balance, even at room temperature. Short, snappy, dry finish. Can courtesy of StFun!

16 oz. can courtesy of queenholly. Light pale malt and hey aroma, displayed in a pilsner glass with a nice cap of thick white head. The name makes me laugh because it is what it is. Grainy body with honey and a grassy hop in the finish. As it warms the corn grain flavor is a bit more pronounced. It is decent enough for the style.

Can. Light sweet grainy malt, a hint of sweet citrus and grassy aroma. Clear golden yellow with a small white head. Sweet bready malt and light grassy hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. It’s a good thing this didn’t taste like buttery popcorn, or I would have hated it.

Wasn’t a huge fan of this beer. Not much of a popcorn smell or taste. It was pretty much just a typical pilsner. I’ll admit it was refreshing on the hot day!

16oz can. At long last, finally trying this! Pours a clear golden yellow color with a thin fizzy white head. Aroma of yeast, corn, and grain. Taste of corn & grain, with a buttery aftertaste. Pretty solid pilsner.

16 oz can. Poured a clear, sparkling gold with white head. Aroma is malty and a bit grainy. Taste is light sweet malt, perhaps a bit of of butter flavor, a bit zesty as well. Higher carbonation. Very nice summer brew!

Pours a clear gold with a fluffy white head. Grainy aroma maybe a faint hint of popcorn. Sweet malty flavor with a low hop character. I didn’t really taate any popcorn. Light body with a high level of carbonation. Refreshing and enjoyable.

Draft: Clear gold with a soft, white head. Light, sweet grains....butter aroma. Corn, butter, flavours. Crisp, sweet. Not popcorn by any means, but very light , tasty and drinkable.

On draft at GABF 2012. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Nose is light malts, some corn, some light bread, and some grassy hops. Flavor follows, not really popcorn-like, but plenty of corn in there. Light in body and lingering corn in the finish.
