3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a reddish-brown with a thin ivory head. Tart cherry, raisin, prune, and fig notes. Medium body with low carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Finishes sour but fairly dry.
On tap at "the dub shack" for Tampa Bay Beer Week. 5oz pout to taster glass. Hazy amber red color. Raspberry vinegar light wood character. Very sour dry vinegar flavor. Very good example of the style. Pepper and spice notes. Great example of an American Flanders that compares favorably to roedenbach. jookos (6954) - FINLAND - DEC 22, 2016

(20 dec). Black. Pine malty roasty, slight cherry nose. Med bodied, quite easy drinkable. Strange herby, some sharp citrus notes too? ..my notes get a little blurry after this, something about the last beer’s chili still being felt and contemplating whether this is some kind of black cherry ipa (didn’t get an intro to the beer before tasting). Seemed pretty nice overall.
Can shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear amber brown with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is quite acidic with very sour cherry and some sweet grains backing. Flavor has sweet grains and very sour fruits with a good amount of acid that is a touch overwhelming. jackl (8287) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 19, 2016
Can thanks to the hoff. Reddish pour with a small head. Nose is moderately fruity. Raspberey and cherry. Balsamic. Some oaky character. Flavor is sweet and sharp. Acetic. Syrupy. Sort oily, modest carb. djd07 (15341) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 21, 2015

Can... Pours lightly hazy and burnt orange with no head. The bouquet furnishes funky cheese, sweaty socks and sour cherries with a light note of caramel. Full-bodied with dancing carbonation. The flavor is deeply tart and moderately acetic, flanked by a nice element of toasted oak. Well-balanced overall. No detectible bitterness. The mildly sweet, fairly tart finish leaves an aftertaste of buttery diacetyl that doesn’t really hurt my feelings all that much. Sampled at DLD 2014. It poured a black color with a small tan head. The aroma was of fruity chocolate with hints of dark fruit. The taste was of roasted malts, slightly bitter chocolates with hints of licorice and dark fruit. Very nice. SrSilliGose (3331) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - NOV 18, 2013

Sample at GABF - This badboy was sour as hell. Big tart berries, touch vinegar. The finish is what put me off. Just a bit harsh and muddled. Noticed someone else thought is was off as well. Not bad, just not really my thing I guess. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 16, 2013
On tap @ GABF. Amber pour with an off-white head. Light acetic tartness along with some lemon, cherry, and red grapes. Nice fruit, some grass, apple, and a touch of caramel. Good cherry flavor, some tart vinegar, lemon, and grape. A mild grass note and caramel sweetness.
