COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sunlight Cream Ale is our most approachable beer and is a great introduction to the world of Craft Beer. Cream ale is one of the earliest styles of American beer, but was virtually wiped out by American lager brewers. Our Cream Ale is an all malt beer. Only the finest quality barley, wheat and oats are used to give this beer it’s smooth malt profile which is delicately balanced with American hops and a cool fermentation to give this beer a crisp, clean finish.

At the brewery. Wheat and creamy with a hint of lemon. Just like the Little Kings of my youth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

2015 BJCP Category: 1C Cream Ale

AROMA: Light sweet malt with a lemony character. Classic lager aroma in the background. 9/12

APPEARANCE: Crystal clear amber/golden hue. Off-white suds evaporate quickly and completely. 1/3

FLAVOR: General sweetness with a faint honey flavor. Oats may account for the sweetness. Some maize-like presence in the background, though not in the style of a cheap beer. Hops are quite low. 14/20

MOUTHFEEL: Light body with a thin, flat mouthfeel. Smooth, refreshing and quaffable. Clean aftertaste. Should have more body considering the ABV and higher CO2. 3/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Pretty tasty for a cream ale, though might be better judged (and marketed) as a blonde ale. 6/10

TOTAL SCORE: 33/50

From an old can that was kept in the fridge. Aroma is heavy caramel, which I think is a result of the age. Flavor reflects that too. Not a bad, beer; just not much of a cream ale at this point.

Very blonde. Light golden color with a white head that doesn't last long. Cereal aroma with a hint of malts and grass. Creamy taste with light malt aftertaste. Not bad.

Can. Has a nice clear cooper. Has a light body taste. A creamy sweet malt taste. Low standards beer.

Plain pilsner-like aroma with some lemon rind. Taste is pilsner-like with some lemon juice. Some cereal malt in the finish. I don’t know what is going on, but I remember the sweet cereal malt being really present in this when I had it before.

Can, someplace in Indianapolis I can’t remember. Nothing creamy or tasty here - just lots of plain and uninteresting taste with a bland start and finish.
