Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Smooth and drinkable beer that is more like a brown ale.

Grainy aroma with a faint bit of caramel. The taste is caramel, grain and a cola-like note. Medium bodied. Not bad and fairly refreshing but weird for a Scottish ale.
