Draft taster at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a small white head. Notes of banana, clove, wheat, and sweet and bready malts. Light-medium bodied, with a wheaty, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Pretty average hefe.

A light but nice banana aroma. Well, the German brewer knows what he’s doing with this one. Light and some banana but not too much. Very fit for the summer or session drinking.

Musty wheat aroma. Foggy, oak gold, a bit lusterless. Tangy fruit and pastry notes. Slippery mouth, tart finish with a little spice. On tap, brewpub.

Sampled at the brewpub. I’m not a fan of Hefeweizen, but this one was a positive surprise. Pale yellow with a white head with hay, yeast and spice flavors.

Tap @ Sun Up. Pours a milky yellow orange appearance with a white head. Bready yeasty, voice, a bit spicy, sweet wheat malty aroma with everything kept in check. Lightly tart, sweet banana, bready yeasty flavor. Great Hefeweizen.
