On tap at brewpub. It pours clear copper with amber core and light tan head. The aroma is sweet and lagery with malt sweetened floral hops and little else. The first impression of the taste is, hey this is a lagery brew. I get a mix of lagery yeast, sugar sweet malts, floral hops and a sweet malt infused red apple esteriness. Interesting. Tap, courtesy of Candice in the flapper costume, thanks very much! Bright golden color, off white head. Aroma of grass and pine. Bitter throughout. Not bad, more interesting than your average Oktoberfest. fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 28, 2009

Light amber color. Light aroma. Dry caramel flavor and strong bitterness. Correct brew, but very basic.
Do you think it’s the same rating as the Amber? Well, I think it’s the same beer… almost; and quite different from an Oktoberfest, maybe a Heller Bock.
tap at the pub. pours orange/coppery brown with a slight off white head. aroma is heavy on the caramel/toffee/raw sugar but balanced well with leafy green hops... mixed in are some pine, grass and rich garden soil. the flavor is much the same and luckily not sweet... lots of caramel-y grains, pine, spice and grass before a dry finish. medium body and creamy carbonation make this very quaffable... Highly drinkable, not overly complex. Malt, caramel, toffee, and a touch of spice. Burnt orange with a reddish hue and an eggshell colored head. Not syrupy or cloying, goes down easily with minimal aftertaste. Pretty tasty but don’t have inflated expectations.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a one finger beige head and ok lacing. Nose is light roasted malt, some dark fruits and spice. Taste was pretty much the same. Medium creamy mouth feel. An ok beer for the style. nbutler11 (1267) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2008
Pours a dark amber color from the tap with a faint off-white head. Smells and tastes of bitter hops and slight cream as well as a helping of carrots and possibly Campari. A strange variation on the seasonal offering, Bockyhorsey (2628) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - OCT 13, 2007
Tap @ Brewhouse. Had more of a frutiy aroma than the spice standing out for most of this style. Orange body with thin head. Thin body texture gave me a goo mix of fruit and spice for flavor. A sticky fruity aftertaste lingers on the palate intead of starchy spice. Good brew.
