On tap at brewpub. Pours out a light gold. Topped with a nice white head. I don’t even want to say much. It is like a micro bud. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 24, 2006
Bottle: Dull golden, hazy, very minor fizzy head, dies quickly, spotty lacing. Musty grainy nose, a little sourness is exhibited as well. Pale malt flavor, somewhat weak, but fairly clean. Not as sour as suggested by the nose. Not very crisp tho, leaving a rough wheat like coating in the mouth. Body and mouthfeel are a bit on the thin side. Pretty uninteresting. Thanks Ken and Jordan for the bottles! stevoj (5875) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 12, 2015
On tap at brewery. Light, too light, not enough flavor, but would sit against any macro lager. Not much else to say, but this ones also on the bland side. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JAN 12, 2005
Golden bronze color with sticky light head and mild lacing. Nose of light floral hops and peaches, some crisp malts and toasty grain. Tastes nutty with some very light watery grain and a light body. Fairly decent foundation and easy drinking. This brewery loves to market their lagers and keep their goodies indoors. Sweet and floral finish and a dry tail. Decent. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 16, 2002
Light gold, medium head. Light bodied lager, mild taste. Slightly sweet malts, mild hops. Smooth flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is smooth and clean. Aftertaste is slightly malty, slightly bitter. Nice mild tasting beer. Interesting flavor.

Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of malts, hops, and some metallic scents. Flavor is metallic bitter with some mlat and minor hops. IndianaRed (5122) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 5, 2006
Bottle Pours a clear very pale yellow, with a nice dense creamy white head that slowly dissipates to a skin. Lacing is quite nice a lasting. Light grain aroma, barekly detectable hop note and a light woody/papery aroma as well. Flavor is a soft light malt wood flavor again. Nice palate though and no bitterness. Easy to down and not at all unpleasant. Not bad for a style I am not fond of in general. jake65 (4033) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - MAY 9, 2006
Color is a deep yellow, amber with a minimal white head. Aroma is a faint combination of hops and malt. Taste is again mild, with malt, grain, and a woodlike flavor. Very soothing to drink, finishes with a clean and dry note. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - SEP 16, 2003
I have only had one of other from this brewer the white cloud ale and did not care for it all that much and I think I am starting a trend with this one. Anyway, golden color with a fastly dissipating head. A nice aroma, with a big malty flavor and an almost buttery toffee aftertaste. Slightly sweet but bitter at the same time, but overall not enough to save this one from becoming bland in the finish. Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - FEB 7, 2002
I'm going to assume that 'Sun Valley Blonde', is the updated version of the 'Gold', either way is not much of a loss.
Pours a clear gold color, white head that dissipates quicky, fair lace. Nose is light malt, the start is malt sweet, the middle thin, the finish lightly hopped, some what dry and moderate carbonation. 'Blah'!
