Bottled. Pale yellow pour with a white head. Malty and somewhat fruity aroma. Clean, malt forward beer. A pleasant surprise. Bradrcr (806) - Renton, Washington, USA - APR 27, 2008
3/8/08 On draught at the Sun Valley Lodge. Aroma is corny, sweet, fruity, with very low hop flora. Appearance is hazy gold with a low white head. Flavor is very sweet with high caramel and medium bittering. Mouthfeel is lightly creamy, medium/low bodied with a moderate carb feel. Overall, one of the best light lagers I’ve had in years.

The 2nd Sun Valley beer that was brought back from a recent trip to ID. The aroma was really bready and fruity. Very enticing nose. Appearance was clear yellow with a nice head. Mouthfeel was soft and round, light and refreshing. The beer had a nice hoppy bite that matched well with the sweet malts making this one really excellent session beer. My beer doesn’t look like the others. Go figure. Brew is quite hazy and gold going brown with a small white cap that fades to a ring. Leaves some small slippery spotty lacing. Aroma is very interesting and I will have to say that I’ve never smelt anything like this before. Kinda powerdery, bready malts, vanilla, odd and very fruity hops - nectarine?? blueberries?? I dunno. Maybe a fruit with more of a nutty quality. Taste is also bizzare. Bready / grainy malts, there’s that odd sweet nutty fruit again. Too bad it’s on the watery side - a letdown after smelling my glass. Has a zippy hop taste or it is aftertaste? How odd. Thin mouthfeel, tiny carb bubbs and lots of them on the swish, finishes zippy but watery. Has a quickly fading aftertaste of, well, nothing. Very unique brew. I recommend getting this just for it’s interesting mix of qualities. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - NOV 20, 2001
Crisp & citrusy. Subdued hops. Buttered corn; Cinnamon.

Golden bronze color with sticky light head and mild lacing. Nose of light floral hops and peaches, some crisp malts and toasty grain. Tastes nutty with some very light watery grain and a light body. Fairly decent foundation and easy drinking. This brewery loves to market their lagers and keep their goodies indoors. Sweet and floral finish and a dry tail. Decent. Bottle Pours a clear very pale yellow, with a nice dense creamy white head that slowly dissipates to a skin. Lacing is quite nice a lasting. Light grain aroma, barekly detectable hop note and a light woody/papery aroma as well. Flavor is a soft light malt wood flavor again. Nice palate though and no bitterness. Easy to down and not at all unpleasant. Not bad for a style I am not fond of in general. jake65 (3592) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - MAY 9, 2006
Color is a deep yellow, amber with a minimal white head. Aroma is a faint combination of hops and malt. Taste is again mild, with malt, grain, and a woodlike flavor. Very soothing to drink, finishes with a clean and dry note. tomciccateri (1034) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - AUG 10, 2006
In a 12-oz. bottle in Boise, Idaho (hotel). Poured with deep gold color with a slight white head. An early malty aroma matched with a light body and well-carbonated light malty-sweet flavor. Finished on the dry side. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2006
Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of malts, hops, and some metallic scents. Flavor is metallic bitter with some mlat and minor hops.
