This is a traditional strengh IPA. Rich in malt flavours and a strong bitter hop flavour and aroma. The intial flavours of tropical fruits give way to a refreshing crisp bitter finish. Dangerously drinkable at this strengh!

Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Golden with a small head. Has a gritty raw malt taste that lingers in the palate.

leaparsons (10906) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2013
Bottle. A lively pour. Golden with a large foam. Aromas are leafy with light pineapple and caramel and biscuit. Oranges with bready yeast. Some lemon rind. Flavours are candy sugar with sweet pineapple and leafy, herbal notes. Bready with trace metal and a dry, woody finish. Quite pleasant.

zacgillbanks (5726) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2013
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A cloudy orange amber beer with a spicy fruit and peppery hop flavour, orange notes and a sweet, fruity warming finish.

jamestulloch (4466) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 11, 2013
Aroma: Biscuit, caramel, earth and pear. Slightly peppery.

Appearance: Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Very light carbonation. Good lacing.

Taste: Caramel, pear and hints of lemongrass. Quite malty for an IPA. Slightly nutty with a light spice on the finish.

Palate: Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Average carbonation fizz.

Overall: A decent British IPA - just don’t expect a hop bomb.

DruncanVeasey (8603) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2013
500ml bottle. Dusted bronze with minor floaties (poured by missus) and a piled rocky Belgian foam. Smells like a bag of penny sweets; jelly snakes, pineapple cubes, Fruit Salad chews; lemongrass and pepper. Warm and mellow with peppery alcohol, marzipan hints, strawberry chew, hop bitterness if not the flavour suggested by the aroma. Almond, cracker and biscuit afters.

danlo (3415) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2013
500ml bottle from the Crafty Pint, Darlington. Clear deep golden amber colour, bubbly foam white head that dissipates and a fruity malt aroma. Taste is sweet malt, with caramel, fruity & earthy notes and some bitterness, through to a warming bitter finish. Smooth, medium bodied and medium carbonation. OK.
