Medium beige head. Barely translucent deep red body. Oda thinks it smells bad (she told me to write). Fruity dusty roasty aroma with minty wild berry notes. Very harmonic. Dry-sweet minty roasty dried fruit taste with licorice and chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish roasty wild berry and resin aftertaste with wooden dusty notes. Excellent! Harmonic and highly drinkable. (0.25l draft at brewpub.) Cunningham (8168) - Halden, NORWAY - FEB 20, 2012

On tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a moderate sized creamy tanned head. Aroma of light roasted malts, dark caramel and toffee. Taste is smooth, light sour malts, interesting. Sweet/sour in mouth, filling mouthfeel, smooth and creamy. Peppers and spices in the finish, very good.

17.01.2012. On tap at the brewery named Mahogni Ale. Dark brown colour with off-white head. Strong aroma with lots of hops and malt sweetness. There is a lot of flavours and the beer could have been stronger. Rich body. Aftertaste is smooth, sweet and there is some faint bitterness at the end. I tjink this is a very good Christmas Ale.

From tap @Sundbytunet. A dense yellow-shaded blond head, upon a near-clear reddish brown body. Crisp, sweet and sour-scented dark bread on the nose. Sweet rustic rye bread flavor. Pepper tones. A light berry-ish fruitiness. Balancing bitterness. Less than medium full. Smooth in the mouth. Soft rye bread malty ending. Yum!
