Draught at Prost! - Boise. Pours clear gold with a medium, frothy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is grainy malt, light floral hops and a subtle fruity ester character. Flavor is moderate grainy malt, light floral hops and bitterness with light fruitiness and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Bottle from Discount Drinks. Aroma is grain, malt, cereal, light earthy hop, dusty, sweet, slightly floral. Appearance is darkish golden, light tan head, somewhat hazy. Taste is spice, floral, earthy hop, slight metallic, sweet grain, corn flakes, easy drinking. Mouthfeel is light body, light carbonation, spicy earthy hop metallic aftertaste. Overall, it’s crushable.

Crisp, grainy, creamy and refreshing.......everything a good Kolsch could be. A slight and detached bitterness occupies the finish....along with, unfortunately, that metallic/mineral off-taste that others have noticed. It is there, alright. But the execution of the beer’s other characteristics deem this a desirable drinker, and i would love to have it again.

Keg at Beerdock Leek. A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of bready malts, vegetable, slight banana and subtle iron. Taste of bready malts, grain, some iron, slight banana and subtle mineral. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dryish, irony finish. Way to irony and metallic to be enjoyable. Crisp but not clean. Nah.

ozzy70 (1211) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 30, 2017
1 pint, 9 oz. bottle. Purchased at Linden Market Hy-Vee. Poured clear golden with a foamy white head. Aroma was fruity, cereal grain, grassy hops. Taste was mild sweet, earthy, metallic.

MNAle (204) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 30, 2017
L1-2-4-816 500 ml bottle. Grassy aroma with a hint of hefe-like banana and buscuit. Aroma is a bit faint, though. Pale gold-yellow, very vigorous pour results in a tall white head, very attractive carb bubbles rising through the gold. Head recedes fairly quickly with lots of thick, creamy-looking lacing lagging behind and untimately slipping down the glass. All the looks you’d expect from a German lager. Smooth and somewhat thick feel. Mild initial taste is all malts: buscuit with the banana aroma still coming in as you drink (I used an English style pub imperial pint glass... nonic ... you might miss the aroma if you used one of those skinny stanges). Malts are balanced by the hops in the middle and finish with notes of floral, grass, and very slight bittering. Clean finish. Very refreshing beer.

Not great. Bright yellow. Puffy head. Smell is hay with lemon. Taste is somewhat metallic.

mabuzzer (875) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - MAY 13, 2017
500ml bottle. Clear, golden with a thin white head. Yeasty, slightly citrus aroma. Taste is similar with a strong metallic aftertaste. Not a clean, crisp Kolsch

Flasche 0,33l (Kalea Bier-Adventskalender): Golden, glasklar, kräftiger mittelporiger Schaum; in der Nase leichte Süße, Malz, Getreide, leichte Hopfennoten, Zitrusnoten, sehr mild, dezente fruchtige Bitterkeit; frischer Körper, leichte Süße, sehr mild, Malz, Getreide, leichte Hopfennoten, Zitrusnoten, spritzig, deutliche Kohlensäure, milde fruchtige Bitterkeit; angenehmer leicht trockener Nachgang

mviljamaa (183) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2017
Pours with an okay head. Color is appealing pale lager like. Fruity and fresh aroma has strongish fermented malt body, well and sea water aromas and cooked beef aroma. Palate is nicely dry and well balanced. A very solid palate. The taste follows the trends of the aroma having clear taste of sea and well waters and citrus like bitterness from hops. Some faint herbal notes. There’s also a menthol or mint like freshness to it that remains in the mouth like a cough drop does. A truly refreshing beer that has an interesting aroma and taste profile.
