One of the best cheap beers in Japan! Quite tasty and has a good smell. I think it's even better than Asahi.

I actually like it. Had it several times while in Japan and it has a pleasant taste. larsga (7539) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 29, 2017
Small white head. Clear yellow body with light carbonation. Sugary fruity aroma with candy notes. Sweet-dry fruity candy taste with mealy spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel with low carbonation. Dryish mealy fruity grassy aftertaste with spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, unremarkable. (0.33l can, from some supermarket in Takahama.) douglas88 (9176) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 30, 2017
500 ml can. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. Light grainy nose. Fruity, corn, sweet malty base. Pretty good on a hot day. pappaushi (13) - JAPAN - JAN 29, 2013
Kin Mugi has been a great success in Japan in terms of overall sales since it’s release. I find it a nice autumn/winter low malt standard. Good hop delivery and nice appearance when mugged. The head is short lived as with all low malt beers.
Not so good in the summer...has a bit of heaviness, in flavors and dryness. A great week end beer very affordable for autumn / winter.

Golden, thick head. Has a sweet, clean but heavy pale malt character. Not bad generic lager. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2011
Can pulling out of Namba Ocat, Osaka, The Japans. Shiny blue tin with gold piping. Sour malt, slight waxiness, boiled corn aroma. Clean and anonymous with a dominant Butterkist note despite the rich malt claims; traces of lemon and wet dough. ’Enjoy rich taste in relaxing time’ indeed. yespr (45412) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2015
35 cl can. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is cornish and grassy. Grassy and slight toasted malty. Mild cornish, sweet and toasted malty. Mild fruity and toasted malty finish. Ungstrup (37558) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2015
Can. A golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of straw, vitamins, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, and boring hops, leading to a dry finish. faroeviking (10910) - FAROE ISLANDS - SEP 4, 2009
Can, Kin Mugi means "Golden Barley". Clear golden colour, medoum fairly well lasting white head. Mild malty aroma with grassy hops. Ok mouthfeel. The flavour is mild with some bitter hops, light sweetness and some maltiness. Dry finish.
