Caramalt, cookie aroma. Toffee, sweet cereals, nutty bread, honey, sweet finish. A bit too sweet for my liking but quite rich and flavorful, not so bad for a macro winter lager. GoufCustom (2307) - HONG KONG - FEB 19, 2015

500 ml can bought at 7-Eleven in Sheung Shui Centre, Sheung Shui.
Clear deep golden amber colour; One and a quarter finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Very good sticky lacing with fizzy carbonation; Fragrant aroma of full bready malt, with faint floral, honey, molasses, bread, yeast, very light lemon and faint grass; Mid to light sweet taste of malt, with strong molasses, light floral, quite strong bread, light yeast, lemon, moderate to strong bitter hops and grass; Medium body. Fairly slick palate; Mouth feel is closely resembles to a Maerzen - full amber malt in a moderate, not so thick body, sweet molasses and quite strong hops. The 6% booze seems tamer than German ones, and less sweeter as well. Very comfy to drink. Nice!... Hoppiness is very light floral, light lemon and thin grassy nose. Full Lemon, floral and quite sharp grass in taste. Bitterness is moderate to strong a lasting, moderate bitter and malty finish; Quite dry after taste. Light sweet and hoppy to mouth.
Comments: I think when big boys like Suntory get serious, their excellence have no bounds. This is a fine example: whether it is intentional or beautiful mistake, this is a tasty and very easy going Marzen with lesser sweetness and almost hidden booze. So damn good to enjoy my first day of Lunar New Year. Genius!
Another solid limited time beer from Suntory, good full taste and plenty of aroma to explore. jdjuice (502) - Kumamoto, JAPAN - NOV 26, 2014
Pours nice pale amber, but head is soda-like. Slightly vinous aroma, not very aromatic. Flavors are weird, kind of light barley wine sweetness, kind of unpleasant white wine sourness. Dry hoppiness on finish, but kind of confusing.

bread, dough, amber, frothy, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, sticky. Pours nicely, quite attractive bit of foam for a Suntory beer. Typical malty aroma, but an usually tasty balance of sweetness/bitterness when it hits the tongue. A bit heavy for what it is IMO, but overall a very nice effort. maekchu (4184) - Hirakata, JAPAN - NOV 6, 2014
Can from Family Mart. Fairly rich malty nose, a bit sweetish. Deep bright amber/orange color, low fluffy white head, some lacing. Malty initial, with moderately sweet fruitiness, light bittering, and then it twists back into gentle sweetness. Medium body, thick for a lager. Okay. Somewhat similar to Asahi The Extra. Can from 7-11. Pours gold with big white head. Malty aroma, some dough. Flavour is pretty smooth, fairly balanced. KyotoLefty (10931) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 5, 2014
Can from Family Mart. Malty nose, bread and biscuit, very low hopping. Deep golden color, pretty, with a medium, fine head. Malty, rich and bready, lightly bitter with a bit of lemon hop flavor. Quite rich and heavy body. Quite a good go at the Dortmunder Export style, really.
