35 cl can. Very dark brown color, almost black, however clear. Short thick creamy brownish head. Aroma of toasted malts, oats/cornflakes, burnt wood, a bit of charcoal and tobacco, a vague fruity note. Taste is flattish, sweetish, a little balanced. Fluffy texture, smooth finish. Ok schwarzie. asedzie (827) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 8, 2016
Can from Family Mart in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Nose has toasted barley and soy sauce. Flavor is quite good: starts with mildly sweet grain note, then a touch of grassy bitterness and finishes with a dark roasted, almost coffee, note, Texture is smooth, almost creamy. Probably the best macro available in Taiwan’s 便利商店. mrjez (621) - Osaka, JAPAN - OCT 6, 2016
First for a couple of years, seduced by new can. Pours near black with cola highlights, fast dissipating head. Good roasty aroma, chocolate, a little anise, occasional bursts of citrus. Similar flavour, very savoury, dry finish, medium-light body that falls away a bit. Still a solid macro schwarz, happy to revisit. HonusWagner (2168) - Florida, USA - JUL 9, 2016
A pretty fine schwarzbier I guess, nothing special, a bit tart in the finish, a bit sweet, lightly milk chocolatey.

355ml can bought at Sogo Fresh Mart in Causeway Way.
Clear opague black colour; Half finger head and soapy beige foam which fades in 40 seconds; Moderate sticky lacing and barely notable slight carbonation; Quite fragrant aroma of dark malt, with strong roastyness, light black coffee, cream, caramel, strong toffee, Cola, very light chocolate, light sugar, faint lemon and light grass; Mid to light sweet taste of dark roasted malt, with roasted nuts, light smoke, strong toffee, caramel, black coffee, light toast, light cream, lime, bitter hops and pretty strong grass; Medium body. Slick and quite creamy palate; Mouth feel is full body dark malt with good nutty roast, strong sticky toffee and creaminess stand out. Fairly good black coffee and quite toasty, also moderate sweetness and backed with good hops. I like it!... Hoppiness is light lemon and fairly strong grass in nose. Lime and sharp grassy taste. Bitterness is moderate to strong, really complements the thick roasted malt and sweetness for a lasting, moderate astringent finish; Fairly dry after taste; Roasty, creamy and sweet bitter to mouth.
Comments: This is the Schwarz version of Premium Malt, so it’s richer and thicker than typical Euro Schwarz or Stouts. Yet, it’s really roasty, with sticky toffee nice sweetness and strong hops to state its case, and it’s a very convincing one. I really like it!
Can. Pours almost black, quite watery, small, carbonated tan head. Burnt malt aroma, pretty weak. Flavour is thin-bodied, with nice chocolate malt. Not bad.
