Jet black with dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and a hint of dried prune. Flavour is a mix of the aroma, malt, coffee and probably a bit more dried prune/fruit in the mix. Finish is a tad short, but enjoyable nonetheless. daydesiang (77) - MALAYSIA - APR 5, 2017
Appearance: Deep black color with a fizzy head.
Smell: roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and toffee. Some alcohol present as well
Taste: Same as nose, finish with some bittersweetness. Medium bodied
The initial smell and taste is great, chocolate and coffee taste come through.

35 cl can. Very dark brown color, almost black, however clear. Short thick creamy brownish head. Aroma of toasted malts, oats/cornflakes, burnt wood, a bit of charcoal and tobacco, a vague fruity note. Taste is flattish, sweetish, a little balanced. Fluffy texture, smooth finish. Ok schwarzie. asedzie (835) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 8, 2016
Can from Family Mart in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Nose has toasted barley and soy sauce. Flavor is quite good: starts with mildly sweet grain note, then a touch of grassy bitterness and finishes with a dark roasted, almost coffee, note, Texture is smooth, almost creamy. Probably the best macro available in Taiwan’s 便利商店. mrjez (710) - Osaka, JAPAN - OCT 6, 2016
First for a couple of years, seduced by new can. Pours near black with cola highlights, fast dissipating head. Good roasty aroma, chocolate, a little anise, occasional bursts of citrus. Similar flavour, very savoury, dry finish, medium-light body that falls away a bit. Still a solid macro schwarz, happy to revisit.

A pretty fine schwarzbier I guess, nothing special, a bit tart in the finish, a bit sweet, lightly milk chocolatey.
