(can) clear pale yellow colour with a tall, white head; aroma starts with noble hops, then cake; balanced, simple and unremarkable flavour with a medium long, light bitter finish

Pour from can, the liquid is amber gold in color and lively. Smells floral. Tastes lightly sweet and somewhat bitter. The finish is also somewhat bitter and long for a lager. It’s a good lager albeit pricey.

ALLOVATE (2958) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 14, 2015
Chilled and into a tulip. Strangely misty with a lot of protein caught in suspension. Big, pillowy white head tops a yellow gold body. Low to almost no aroma. Faint starch, boiled rice, lemon peel, spent grain and straw dust. Sweet, slightly milky lactose sweet with a thin body and soft carbonation. Soft lemon tang after a hit of palest malt upfront. Low to no hops and nil for bitterness. Finishes crisp and relatively clean with no aftertaste. Hmmm, a beer that’s like water. Suntory style. Think I liked their Draft 9° more than this, but then this was actually refreshing! (50cL, BBE 12/15, The Bottl’o, East Vic. Park)

33 cl. bottle at a restaurant in Tokyo. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, hops and floral notes. Not great, but was okay with a meal.

Salaryman beer. No special skill-set at all, it just shows up and works overtime for no reason...just so it doesn’t have to go home. Average beer but better than all of the other macros in Japan. Depressingly good I guess.

Malty and bread aroma and flavor. Maybe a little lemon. Okay bitterness that fills a weak moment. Mediocre beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
