2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
A 100% malt beer and rather expensive.Thatís due to Japanís taxing of Barley malt! Donít get me started on this insane issue!! This beer is known for itís smooth rich taste and yes it does taste good. A very light hop delivery and a head that is sadly very short lived maybe worse than some low malt competitors. Some taverns offer a discount with a purchase of a pitcher.
I give it a thumbs up on taste alone...but not real exciting.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not interested in clocking up ticks, promised myself Iíd only rate the really good ones. However, since theyíre so widely available in Taipei, and since I actually worked in Japan for five years, Iíll rate this one just for fun. Two small cans from Wellcome supermarket poured into a pint glass for the full effect. Aroma: fresh grass, quite nice actually. Appearance: clear amber, very little head, noticable rising bubbles. Light-bodied, rather thin, lively carbonation, very abrupt bitter finish. Taste: a medium degree of bitterness. For a macro out of a can, this is not the worst by any means. Drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2016 On tap at a Japanese restaurant (ramen noodles and grilled skewers ) in Hong Kong. Served with branded glass (the glass was chilled). Golden clolor with a white head (which disappeared very soon). Taste fresh with favour of malt and bread. Easy to drink, no bitterness if finish the drink in around 20 mins (when it is not chilled bitterness favour comes out). Really good accompany with Japnanese food.

0.33 can from somwhere in Tokyo. Appearance is the usual pale, clear and big head. This has also some delicate hops, but it is mainly sweetish. Might work well if cooled and drank in a hot and humid climate.

Tap at Delta Sky Lounge out of a robo machine in Norita. Bright golden pour with a pure white head. Sweet grains. Pretty good palate - slick with some density. Far better than BMC back home.
