Can. The Japanese like to use the definite article to lend some sort of official seal of quality to many products, and usually (the the notable exception of 'The' Premium Malts, the title is undeserved. I should have known better. Drink straight from the can, this was a frothy lukewarm mess of sweet corn, bread, and inexplicable spice. I also got the rancid butter that someone else here mentioned. There must be better ways to spend 123 yen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Small white head doesn’t last. Clear yellow body. Faint grainy aroma with fruity notes. Dryish grainy fruity taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish fruity plastic aftertaste with mealy notes. Not bad, but anonymous and lacking in character. (0.5l can, from 7-11, Kanazawa.)

0.5 l can from 7-Eleven, Tokyo. Golden clear. Taste is quite industrial, but a bit more malty than the most Japanese pale lagers. Doesn’t have to be ice cold when served.

Starts with a usual boring sweet grain flavor, then turns into some horrible chemical gasoline with a dirty peppery aftertaste. Total waste of water, avoid!

You only need to know that it’s the cheapest of cheap, and that the brewer recommends drinking this one in quick gulps. They’re right. Bleh!

It has a bit of a leafy aroma which might be one of it’s finer points. Minimal, white head and a typical pale golden colour that isn’t insulting to the eyes. Lightly sweet with a feathers touch of bitterness. A little too watery, and a bit flat. The nomenclature states that this is THE BREW (all caps) and thus there is no other. Interestingly it’s made in partnership with 7/11 and I found this confidently-branded beer here in Osaka. I might have made it to the counter faster than light speed, physics couldn’t dampen my enthusiasm but predictably and with great sadness, it turns out that it’s better defined by it’s provider (7/11) than it’s name. Fortunately not available in Big Gulp sizes.

From a can poured a golden color with almost no head. Light malty flavor with no finish.

czlowiekwiadro (985) - POLAND - JUN 25, 2014

Can. Mild aroma, rancid butter and wet cardboard. Medium straw color, light carbonation. Very mild initial, some malt; harsh mid palate from spirits and maybe hopping; finish disappears quickly. Thin palate. Shite.
