350 ml can bought at The 759 Store in Sheung Shui Centre, Sheung Shui.
Clear golden amber colour; One and a half finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with near zero carbonation; Fragrant aroma of full bready malt, with moderate caramel, faint floral, molasses, bread, strong yeast, light lemon and very light grass;
Close to medium sweet taste of Amber malt, with moderate roastyness, pretty strong caramel, strong molasses, very light floral, strong bread, yeast, lemon, close to strong bitter hops and fairly sharp grass;
Medium body. Slick and thick palate; Mouth feel is definite Amber maltyness, as there’s no stinky lager malt in nose or taste. Body is thick, malty rich, fair roastyness with very testable caramel plus slight toffee touch. Molasses is right on tight, Strong bready with lemony and expressive bitterness to round. Good!... Hoppiness is light floral, light lemon and fair grass nose. Strong lemon and sharp grass in taste. Bitterness is close to strong for a lasting, fairly astringent sweet-malty finish; Slightly dry after taste. Malty and sweet-bitter to mouth.
Comments: Its taste profile fits with Amber Lager perfectly, with a much stronger malty body, more sweetness and more bitter hops. Tastier than most macro Amber, I would be happy if most Amber Lagers have the maltyness and hoppiness like this one. Recommended!
Can in ryokuchi Koen. an ordinary score for an ordinary lager. at least it?s not as watery as most. biirusaikou (2705) - - MAR 2, 2015
Sweet caramel cereals. Caramel, croissant/brioche, herbal hops, bittersweet finish. Quite caramel focused, a bit light but not too bad, not sure that the name suits though. KansaiBeerLvrs (5602) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 26, 2015
Can from 7-11. 2015 edition that is a deep gold with a thick head of foam with solid staying power & good lacing. The nose is sweet, grainy, syrupy caramel. Not really like an English Bitter which is what I was expecting. It has a medium body and a slick mouthfeel The taste isn’t half-bad a touch of chocolate, grainy, some graham and bitterness. You don’t get the 6% but it is fairly plain and boring.
