Can at Shinjuku Prince Hotel. Clear amber/red - white head. Roasted, sweetness, light fruity notes, ryebread, amber malts, caramel, bisquit, light citrus bitterness, zesty notes in the sweet fihisn. Wombata (627) - Kobe, JAPAN - MAR 18, 2013
Aroma: earthy hop and malt
Flavor: earthy hop and malt like the aroma.
Comment: Not bad. Balanced sweetness and hop. Not complex but OK. Westkyoto77 (640) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 1, 2013
Can. Faint hoppy aroma. Strong malty body, smooth enough on the palate, with clear bitter finish. Not quite as balanced as Premium Malts or even Malts, but at 6% you get a decent beer for your money. Tovrleaf (22) - - OCT 1, 2012
A bit like Suntory All Malts but a dark version of it. Palate is not as good as would expect but this is made for masses I think. jonno (2913) - JAPAN - JUL 30, 2012
Yes it tastes like a full bodied macro, no it’s not as good as Premium malts, but, it ain’t as bad as some would have you believe. Rich, a lack of true flavour, more processed malt and a heavy bitter finish. Definitely drinkable, but their flagship is pretty far ahead of this.

Can from local 7-11 store. Thin rasty aroma. Pretty golden-orange with a thin skim of head. Grassy initial, quite well hopped. But quickly flattens out into unpleasant chemical flavors. Not so pleasant. Really, it tastes more or less like a strong happoshu KyotoLefty (10689) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 19, 2012
Can. Pretty enough gold color with a low head. Malty nose, light caramel, biscuits. Between a helles and a bock, without much hop aroma. Malty flavor, not much hop flavors, tingly, peppery finish though, gives up some hop bitterness. Nice balance. Decent, though could be more original. Drinkable with nice body. Good train beer.

Pours a weird, unnatural looking orange-y color with a white head. Aroma is your usual Japanese macro lager deal, nothing special. Tastes just like normal "real" Japanese beer, but with a weird bitter kick on the early part of the aftertaste. There’s not really any hint of different flavored hops, or higher quantities of hops being used, just a weird bitter bump along your regular, boring Japanese beer flavor road.
