Coyet Ale jatkaa Suomenlinnassa harjoitettua pintahiivaoluiden traditiota. Coyetin aikakaudella kaikki oluet olivat pintahiivaoluita, aleja.

[email protected] Light coppery. Hops on nose, sort of herbal, citric, green, with a certain earl gray vibe. Lightish body, dry, med bittered. Green herby hops, some biscuity malts. Ok english pale ale. Traditional, refreshing.

Bottle at Villi Wäinö, Helsinki. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is caramel malt, hop. The flavour is medium bitter, with a crisp refreshing hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A pretty decent English bitter. Served a little on the cold side but it was a hot summer day, so no complaints from me!

500ml bottle, thanks to djoeye for sharing. Clear amber coloured body under a near-white head, leaving spotty lacing behind. Caramel and a little ale fruitiness on the nose. Malt-fruity flavours of caramel, butter end dried fruits. Discreet herbal hoppy ending. Medium bodied. Quite nice at least compared to other beers this evening (Tromsø 19.05.2014).

Off-pearl-white 2-finger head, clear amber body, just a bit lacings. Aroma; hops n malts, ale style scents. Taste; herbal hops, caramel malts, malty fruity style, balanced towards a distinct butterscotch note!! Dry earthy feel, medium body, ok carbonation. Herbal hoppy aftertaste. Tasty and likeable brew. Clear coppery body, white head. Aroma is bit metally nutty malty. Resiny hops. Some butter. Sharp bitterness.

Toomio (589) - Joensuu, FINLAND - MAR 29, 2014
Hiukan katkera loppu. Ei silti liikaa. Vaahdota ei halua. Kaunis väri, Punakka. Vähän lisää makua kaipaisi.

kustie (1156) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 15, 2014
Kuparinvärinen, aika kirkas olut. Vaahto pysyy hyvin ja on pitsinen. Jälkimaussa hyvä katkera maku. Aavistus lakritsaa ja suolaisuutta. Miellyttävä olut.

zomba (212) - Nokia, FINLAND - JAN 4, 2014
Bottle. Pours copper with thin head. Aroma of malts and hops. Mildly malty taste, quite a bit of carbonation.

500 ml bottle from Alepa @ Helsinki Vantaa Airport. Pours light copper with a nice head. Head dissipates soon into small lacing. Aroma is quite fruity and herbal hops are coming through too. Something soapy. Taste is diluted pear juice, bitter hops and some malty candy sweetness. Aftertaste is not very intensive, some hop bitterness lingering around. Overall not bad, body is perhaps weaker than I would have liked - but I guess the reason is in Finnish alcohol laws that allow only beers up to 4,7% to be sold in normal supermarkets.

jann3 (379) - Espoo, FINLAND - DEC 6, 2013
Slightly cloudy amber color. Large light beige head, nice lacing. Bittersweet aroma with caramel and hoppy notes. Initial taste is sweetish, then comes some moderate bitterness, and sweetish finish. Malty and fruity notes are dominating. Mouthfeel is quite thin and watery. (0,5 l bottle, best before 8.10.2014)
