3 years after the BB date. Almost clear golden color with just a bit of foam. Aroma starts with lots of sugar and a hint of dried fruits. Besides these, lots of alcohol. So far, not as bad as expected. Taste starts with sugary dried fruits, lots of booze, some floral perfume, some earthy, woody bitterness on the finish. Light, dry body. Seems that the age has done good things to this beer, it is not as bad as expected.

Strong aroma of caramel with alcohol, juicy fruits with syrup and alcohol, rum, raisins, quince jam. Taste of caramel with quince jam and lot of alcohol (too much), slightly sour white wine, alcoholized fruits, some sweetness in the background. Very good!

Amber, a bit hazy, no head. Alcohol, ripe fruit, dried fruit, port wine. Well balanced, sweet, alcoholic. Good.

old bottle was produced at 2011 and saved in the archive and tasted at Dec 18, 2016 Look: amber, hazy. Aroma: sherry-like oxidizet notes, some roasted notes. Taste: cloying sweet with harsh spicy boozu bitterness. Flavour: baked apples, sherry, harsh alcohol. Harsh boozy finish. Strange thing.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2017 BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear brandy color, zero retention head. The aroma is pretty much Oloroso sherry, dry and oxidized, oily and nutty. The flavour is there as well, dry and oxidized, with just a hint of sweetness, just a bit if residual cereals, a bit thin and with a slight hint of paper in the finish. After six year in the bottle, it just not the beer it was supposed to be. It tastes like Oloroso and I like sherry.

Holy Shitski, I just noticed what the ABV is. Golden color with a quickly diminished, fizzy head of what I think might have been white bubbles. Slightly interesting scents of mead and malt liquor. Scents of higher glues, alcohol and floral sweetness wonder in. Heavy industrial flavors, with higher alcohols and actually a grain and malt hint. Burns in the back of the mouth, throat and stomach along with the fizzy feel. Slightly nutty finish. I will add this to my stockpile of brews to be decontrcted in the future.

Shared 16.9 oz. bottle. Been avoiding this one for quite some time; I guess its time to face the music. Pours a hazy medium amber with a small, short-lived and listless off-white head. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel, syrup, and acetone. Taste is super-sweet and malty. Very cloying. Brown sugar, syrup, and caramel. More acetone with perhaps a little rubbing alcohol. Low carbonation. Cloying, alcohol-laden finish. I gagged on the 4th or 5th small sip; that calls for an automatic sub-one rating in my book. Drain pour.

Husband wanted Romania tick...thats all I have to say. Aroma: incredibly sugary sweet with some malt underneath; Appearance: dark amber; the flattest beer Ive ever seen; Taste: burnt brown sugar with boozy backlash; strangely sour notes that make no sense; stomach already hurting; Palate: trying to swallow so quickly that I cant determine; long, sweet finish; Overall: Ugh. Definite drain pour.

Bottle pour split with Andrew, and what a beer this is. Had to drink this because of the Ms loss on opening day. The aroma stars off ok, and then you take a sip, malty carmal and a very sweet taste.

What the hell am I drinking. I have had this bottle for years, looking for a reason of punishment for opening it. Tcon and I decided that if the Mariners couldnt win on opening day, to continue their opening day dominance, than we have to pick a bottle that we would likely regret. Dusted this off. Im sure I originally got this for the Romania tick. Some good coming out of this. Copper orange pour with no head. This has to be some sort of weird beer style that Ive never had. Aroma is a weird, brown sugar, caramel spice infused malt. Flavor is an overly sweet, watered down malt liquor. Pretty dominant brown sugar element, but watery and boozy both. Ick.
