Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes. Bornyensis (321) - BELGIUM - OCT 3, 2015
Een typisch biertje van de Hoge Venen, ideaal na een lange winterse wandeling. Ernest (7788) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 20, 2002
Head is initially huge, frothy, rocky, white, mostly lasting. Body is
hazy medium yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is
moderately hoppy (flowers, citrus - lemon), moderately malty (cookie,
toasted light bread), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of coriander,
orange, clove, pineapple, honey, pepper. Flavor is moderately sweet,
lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is moderately bitter, lightly
acidic. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly
astringent. Whoa, mama...this is a find! Wonderful fresh/bright/lively
aroma complete with spices, fruits, and flowers, with a surprisingly
assertive malt character...superb flavor balance...nearly undetectable
alcohol (until you stand up)...sexy appearance and great mouthfeel. This
has it all. A new entry among my favorite Belgian blonde ales.
Stunning. clutchrogers (90) - Broussard, Louisiana, USA - JAN 18, 2004
I had this beer at the village of Chimey, at Au Vieux Chimey. The aromas were of hops, floral and yeasty notes. The head was dense and the beer was the color of polished bronze. The flavor was dry with a medium bitterness and flavors of vanilla, bread and a slight nutty maltiness. Overall this is a satifying beer, full flavored with enough hop bitterness to be a thirst quencher. House4000 (3) - BELGIUM - MAR 20, 2015 does not count
Belle longueur en bouche, amertume agréable mais pas trop prononcée. Mousse stable et généreuse.

Bought in Belgium and drunk in Ireland. Nice cloudy blonde - pale amber in colour. Light head , disappears quickly, but is not missed. Spicy. Sweet - like bonbons! Very attractive glass.medium sweetness, long finish, I would certainly drink it again. Jerre (3800) - Waregem, BELGIUM - SEP 7, 2006
