Bottle. Clear brown colour, beige head. Aroma of molasses, caramel and malts. Flavour has hints of cookies, sweet and a light alcoholic overall flavour. Quite decent.

Slightly astringent finish on this brune, leaves sour taste on palate. Wine/cola aroma, dark but clear brown, with airy head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass. Taste...prune juice? The sweetness sets this one apart from the pack of Belgian brunes....

Bottle 25 cl. Pours clear ruby brown with a small tanned head leaving some lacing. Aroma is heavy malty sweet spicy prunes a bit yeasty dark sugar. Flavor is like the aroma, very nice maltyness and bitterness with a similar pungent touch as the blonde. Finishes sweet malty and bitter pungent.

Pours a dark amber colour with a white lacy. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and some herbs. Flavour of sweet toasted malts, sweet, marron and some dough. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a finish of sweet marron, nuts and some malts. Way too sweet.

Aroma is really sweet with brown sugar and toffee typical to aged belgian ales. Flavour is sweet with lots of brown sugar, some toffee and hints of malt. Fels like a sugar candy. Way too sweet and sticky stuff.

Pours clear copper color with small head. Aroma of ripe fruits, caramel, mild malts and sugar. Flavor of sugar, sweet malts, caramel and ripe fruits. High carbonation, malty and mild fruity and surprisingly dry palate.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, raisins, prunes, crisp-bread, brown sugar and hints of chocolate. Malty, fruity taste with notes of raisins, prunes, dark bread, brown sugar, liquorice and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Hardly exceptional, but solid and well made. Quite nice.
