Moravius (1463) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 12, 2017

courtesy of Philipp - hazy dark amber-orange beer under a solid beige foam left; aroma of toffee, light earthy and grainy; medium-bodied; light sweet, earthy bitterness with more notes of caramel in the finish

Optisch ein schönes Bier im Glas. Flaschendesign sowieso. Angenehmes, dezentes Aroma.

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, hazy, loose but stable off-white head, sweet malt, cough syrup and dry herbal-piney hops in the nose; moderate to solid dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, a bit tart; lingering dry and tart bitter finish with a hardly detectable malty counterweight. Good, not great...

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, deep amber colour with a mid-sized and firm tanned foamy head. Citric hoppy aroma with notes of bergamot, delicately tropical accents and an earthy touch, backed by mildly cara-malt. Slightly bitter and delicately tart flavour, medium to light bodied with a modest carbonation. Delicately bready malty base with traces of caramel, accompanied by citric and slightly earthy hops; moderately dry, slightly bitter hoppy finish with earthy and mildly fruity notes. Likeable but not really harmonic. 25.IV.17
