375mL bottle pours with a clear deep mahogany colored body that tosses up thin legs. The aroma pulses with oak and bourbon booze, a touch of vanilla and then faint caramel. The taste delivers boozy bourbon and oak that borders on being a bit harsh. It gets oaky, a bit vanilla and caramel. Well behind those notes is a mild sweet honey sweetness. After a while it grows on me but remains too barrel forward and too rough around the edges.

Great caramel flavor and aroma. Getting a lot of raisin/date flavors. Beautiful rich bronze color and brilliantly clear. Taste is just a bit hot, but full of flavor from the honey and bourbon barrels. Might be just a bit oxidized, but overall an excellent mead within a very difficult style.

Pours dark brown with a ruby hue. AROMA: bourbon honey, caramel, alcohol, woody, smoke, stone fruit, spices, molasses, floral and light herbs. TASTE: loads of honey, bourbon, vanilla, oak, herbs, stone fruit, acidity and molasses. AFTER TASTE: honey, bourbon, oak, molasses and stone fruit with a crisp clean feel and alcohol warmth.

The aroma is honey and a hint of whiskey. Pours a funky looking watered down coffee color. The taste is sweet. The body is light, the texture thin a little alcohol in the finish. Not bad, have to keep checking in on them to see what they have come up with.

Pours a deep brown with red highlights. Aroma is very strong. Loads of caramel, oak, and booze. Flavor is very bold. Don’t see any note about this being barrel aged but it certainly is. Loads of booze and oak. Light vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar. Has a boozy burn. It’s an extreme mead, but I enjoyed the hell out of sipping on it for awhile.

Bottle thanks to my mom! Pours a clear deep amber with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a strong booze note with underlying sweet honey vanilla. Flavor has a combination of vanilla and honey with a growing vanilla note.
