Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown color, near black. Mild aroma of star anice with the roasted malts. Roasted malts flavor with a quite strong spice mix, some burning alcohol, and light vinous character.
Uncoordinated, but not too bad.

Bouteille 750 ml. Bonne.

Bottle from local iga grocery A: dark chocolate, cacao, light roasty, some spice almost minty like after midnight chocolate, some hotness from the spice too.App: pitch black lasting beige head nice lacing. T/p: full body with short bitter finish. Moderate long hotness then comes next. Moderate carbonation. O: Interesting creature I tend to enjoy more and more those spicy stout. I should have drank it in a colder season, it would been more inline with the weather.

Bottle shared at game night. Near black, fairly viscous with a bubbly brown head. Chocolate liqueur and spicy yeast, quite sweet with a roasty finish. Thinnish mouthfeel.

750ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a semi opaque black shade with a small tan head. Nose has some mix of spices, roasted malt, and Belgian yeast. Flavour is roasted and rather bitter, a mix of spices with some roast.

Dark brown. Not much head. This is a bit thin, touch spicy, not a whole lot of character. There’s some spice bitterness, but not a whole lot of character. Thin and uninteresting. For this brewery, not super exciting.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out various spices, including coriander, along with Belgian yeast and cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with Belgian yeast, cocoa, spices and light roast. Thin palate, with plenty of spice. Not a huge fan, but it works decently enough.

Quels sont les Zonder Gobelins? Hella bitter cocoa, some mace, vanilla and some coffee. Pretty damn good, if you ask me. Are you? Don’t know. Fuck you. No, I’m not drunk. Leave me alone to drink my fucking beer. Assholes. Ahem, the aroma is chocolate, anise, and brown sugar. Delightful stout, Dunham.Very creamy, nice and dark, and with a thin creamy light brown head.
