Bottle shared at game night. Near black, fairly viscous with a bubbly brown head. Chocolate liqueur and spicy yeast, quite sweet with a roasty finish. Thinnish mouthfeel.

750ml bottle. Dark brown with a foamy beige head. Flavors are yeast, peanut butter, roasted cereals, spices, chocolate, peppers. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth texture.

750ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a semi opaque black shade with a small tan head. Nose has some mix of spices, roasted malt, and Belgian yeast. Flavour is roasted and rather bitter, a mix of spices with some roast.

Dark brown. Not much head. This is a bit thin, touch spicy, not a whole lot of character. There’s some spice bitterness, but not a whole lot of character. Thin and uninteresting. For this brewery, not super exciting.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out various spices, including coriander, along with Belgian yeast and cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with Belgian yeast, cocoa, spices and light roast. Thin palate, with plenty of spice. Not a huge fan, but it works decently enough.

Quels sont les Zonder Gobelins? Hella bitter cocoa, some mace, vanilla and some coffee. Pretty damn good, if you ask me. Are you? Don’t know. Fuck you. No, I’m not drunk. Leave me alone to drink my fucking beer. Assholes. Ahem, the aroma is chocolate, anise, and brown sugar. Delightful stout, Dunham.Very creamy, nice and dark, and with a thin creamy light brown head.

750ml capped bottle pours black in colour with a finger of off-white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is herbal with some chocolate and roasted grains with some spicy notes. Taste is a roasted grain and herbal hop bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness finishing with some spice. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a lively brew for the style with the higher carbonation and very tasty as well. Recommended.

13,19$ for 750ml bottle, from the early 2017 new batch. Spices ? Not fond of spices in any beer... But this is one of my beloved wives named Dunham. Nose is at first quite spicy, with cinnamon and anise, with sweeter honey notes. The texture is very pleasant, although I first thought it was a little watery, but the quite lively carbonatation balance it all. And it is SO easy to drink for the style ! The taste is very complex, with all kind of notes expressing themselves, ranging from dried fruits to notes of pepper, and from a tongue-tingling herbal hoppiness to a lasting torrefied and bitter aftertaste. So complex that every sip seems to bring out some more depths of taste. This is, at least, not far from amazing. But I’m probably biased since it’s Dunham. But I know what I like and I like what I know and it’s getting better in your wardrobe. God is this song boring !
