From notes. Enjoyed at a bottle share at Sean’s on December 29. 750 mL bottle. The pour is a nice clear golden yellow color without any carbonation or head present. The aroma is surprising. There is a lot of booze and barrel up front with a honey complexity that slowly moves in. The pecan pie begins to come through with a light graham cracker and a hint of vanilla. It’s not as deep as I would like it to be. The flavor is much of the same. It starts off a little hot and slowly lets the complexity in. The honey, pecans, light vanilla, hint of a little roast all balance out in the end. It’s not overly complex, which is decent. The mouth feel is surprisingly light. It’s not like many other meads I’ve had. The aftertaste is lingering booze and honey with a touch of pecans and vanilla. Interesting bottle.

Bottle thanks to Shad. Pours a hazy gold with no head. The aroma is honey, booze, pecan. Thick mouth jammy, honey, bourbon, pure sugar, very nice.

Ok, nightcap...seriously. Transparent, light golden body. Aromas of honey, cinnamon, vanilla. Similar flavor. Lots of honey. Pecan character is in the background. Sweetness is present throughout but not overpowering. Light booze in spite of the high abc. Tasty.

750ml bottle from the meadery. Pours a still, clear copper. Aroma of spice, earth, vanilla, and honey. Taste is an excellent balance of honey, sweetness, vanilla, toffee, and maple, with an alcohol finish. Very well done...points to daknole for the initial suggestion.

Nice nose with a beautiful Amber color. Starts sweet with a nice mouth feel. Finishes with the Eagle Rare Bourbon coming through.

Pale gold pour. Really another winner from SM. sweet up front, floral, nutty, light maple syrup, and finishes with some warm bourbon flavors.

Smells like bourbon and honey. Taste is rich dark honey up front followed by semi-sugary and nutty notes of pecan pie and bourbon. Medium body with a bit of bourbony heat.
