Pours a light gold color with a spicey honey nose. The spice comes through in the flavor with a subdued sweetness and an earthy finish. A very slight alcohol burn at the end. Not bad, but this Meadery has many better offerings.
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, thanks Jeff! Clear golden pour with thin to no head, aroma brought notes of booze, honey, slight some slight saffron, orange. Taste was a mix of honey, saffron, orange, spice, finishing sweet, slightly boozy. Bacterial (3040) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - NOV 12, 2015
Pour from bottle. Clear light yellow pour. Still. Cool nose, lots of orange honey, some spice, even a slight herbal note. Dry, some coriander and saffron on the font, some mild hops in the back. Pretty tasty. mcberko (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 31, 2015
750mL swingtop bottle, pours a clear blonde / yellow with no head. Aroma packs loads of the saffron upfront, with oranges and light honey sweetness. Flavour is quite spicy and hot, with saffron, light oranges and alcohol. Not much honey. Very thin and lacking complexity. I fail to understand the ratings for this. A really subpar mead. bytemesis (8960) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUL 26, 2015
Bottle. Pours clear pale golden, still. Aroma is apple, Vicks. Flavor is whoah, saffron, still a hint of vapo rub, dry with a prominent bitterness, white wine esque, not much honey presence. Almost a lingering hard alcohol taste. djd07 (15330) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 11, 2015
Bottle at Superstition. Pours a clear gold with no head. The aroma is strong floral and saffron. Thin mouth, strong saffron, sweet, floral, light finish, good.

Bomber to snifter. Pours a pale orange gold. No head. Aromas of honey, orange, and saffron. Taste is saffron, honey, orange juice, with a hint of hops. tchaos (428) - New York, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Bottle from superstition meadery. Pours a clear golden. Aroma is dominated by spices, with mild notes of orange blossom. Tastes like a slightly muddles mix of honey, spices, and Hops. Worth a try, but not my favorite. Ibrew2or3 (8807) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 15, 2014
Bottle share courtesy of Dak, thanks! It pours with a clear water looking body that has a slight yellow to gold hue to it. The aroma offers up spices that have a mix that’s earthy, a bit of curry and then a plastic waxy Barbie doll. The taste is earthy and plastic and waxy as well as spicy notes that have an edge of mild tartness and some booze. Interesting mead but this really doesn’t not do it for me where the finish is met by a decent dryness. DesertDevil (699) - Arizona, USA - APR 15, 2014
Bottle shared during a mead tasting hosted by daknole. Super-sweet nose of orange, honey, and a floral mix. Pours a medium yellow. Sharp taste of honeysuckle, ripe orange, and a touch of saffron. Prickly palate. Just OK. jntfan1978 (50) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - APR 14, 2014
Pours a light gold color. This one smells better than the taste. The aroma of coriander and hops are present. There is something odd I can’t put my finger on with the taste. Maybe its the saffron, coriander and hops are all fighting to be the dominate flavor.
