33 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium as La Botteresse de Noël. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and a light brown lacing head. Aroma is roasted malt and some yeasty spices. Flavour is dried fruit with some light yeast note and roasted malt. Finish is nice lingering roasted malt mixed with a nice belgian yeats spice. Lovely. Bottled at Kerstbierfestival 2007. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also lighter notes of roasted malt. Dark brown color, steady creamy tan head. Yeasty, vegetably, a bit chocolaty aroma. Crisp, fruity, grape-fruitness in the flavor, also plumes and dates. Quite yeasty, maybe too fresh.

Hazy gold, tiny tight head. Odd rotting meat aroma. In fact, it’s meat and 2 veg. One of the veg’s is asparagus. Soapy taste, also some veg. Finish very hoppy. Yeast removes the quirkiness, and reduces soapiness.

Pours deep brown, bordering on black. A fair, but rather fizzy offwhite head that settles as a millimeter thick foam. Heavy spicy aroma. Lots of cloves, coriander, sour-ish plums and cherries, chocolate. Some sweet caramel to back it all up. High carbonation, very prickly. Otherwise fine, and lightly dry mouthfeel. Nice flavours. Chocolate, light tart fruit, yeast, well-balanced spiciness with some coriander, cinnamon. Fine dryness with some cocoa-powder feel. Actually a very nice Christmas beer.

Brune foncée, col beige avec une fine pellicule dorée sur le verre.
Arôme de fruits noirs; cerise et datte, malt léger et une note de chocolat.
En bouche, malt grillé, caramel et léger chocolat en poudre. Palais réchauffant avec ses 10.5%, pointe épicée rappelant la réglisse et laissant un fini liquoreux. Une pointe d’amertume houblonnée sur la fin.
