COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as an American Pale Ale with a twist, a healthy dose of rye adds a subtle spiciness and frothy white head while generous amounts of pleasantly spicy and floral American hops compliment the gentle rye character.

Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy with fine carbonation. Mellow airy malts with traces of cream and rye spice. Tangerine and orange hops, touch of peel. Sorachi Ace like lemon lingers in the background. Light semi dry finish. Pretty drinkable and tasty.

Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2015
Bottle shared during Bruce’s birthday in London - big thanks to Fergus. Pours mostly clear, amber-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds some pithy orange, rind, slight grainy bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with nice citrus fruit hop character, some further grains, mandating orange, pale bread, light pine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty nicely balanced on the finish, more orange, tangerine, pale bread, rind. Very nice.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy orange color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, hops, light to moderately orange peel. Taste malts, hops, orange peel again, overripe fruits, old hops maybe, average bitterness.

Hazed orange pour with a white head. Nice orange peel note, plenty of pine, and some rye. A bit of bread sweetness, light floral hops, and some body odor. Flavor is mostly orange peel, rye, and bread. But there’s some mild grass and a decent bitterness. Floral hops, light pine, and a moderate sweetness.

Bomber from Craft Beer Kings. Pours light amber with a foamy white head. Aroma of cooked malt, rye spice, and some sort of hop. Med body or better. Flavor is very heavy caramel, with rye spice and arguably floral hop. It’s quite rye, and pretty floral or fruity. This is a substantial ale. It’s flavorful, and well balanced. Unexpectedly tasty.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours hazy orange-amber with a decent white head. The nose is prickly spice, stewed orange, juicy, tango, tangerine, earth and candy. The taste is bitter, spicy, rye bread, earth, toasty, wood, resin and some orange citrus with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty and drinkable. Good stuff. Surprisingly good.

Dogbrick (13789) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 26, 2015
Sample at the taproom. Pours a slightly hazy copper-orange color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of floral hops, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, mildly spicy rye malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a rye and hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
