Extremement corrosif en arome, aiguilles de pins, oranges, mangues vers une amertume intense. Le corps est machable et collant. crajun (1242) - , Texas, USA - JUN 17, 2012
can via trade with emeinz; had this in fridge for awhile since ipa’s aren’t my thing; finally opened = WOW; gave perfect scores for appearance and palate. aroma is mixed - slightest citrus + piney hops; I also got caramel. perfect palate. Taste was more caramel and hops to me. I want another!! Thanks Eric! drabmuh (194) - Maryland, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Thanks kbutler1 for the 4 pack, you are the man.
Beer is amber and clear (nice) with a monster white / yellow head of medium and large bubbles that leaves a monster amount of lacing on the glass. Carbonation is criminally low though...
Aroma is ridiculously hoppy. Lots of nice plne hops in there. Smells great.
Lots of body in this one. Some malt in the for front. Not quite what I was expecting, I’ll take another taste, sweetness up front and a strong bitterness in the back. Beer is pretty good. There isn’t much happening in the front of the palate. Overall its a pretty good but not as good as I hoped.

Poured into my ccb pint glass. Golden with a red tint and a two finger head. Aroma is wow, citrus light pine and creamy malts. Simply amazing. The taste completely follows the nose just intensified. Really complex and smooth. Very drinkable, very refreshing. The best dipa I’ve ever had!

Another old backlogged rating from the 2010 RBSG: Deep orangy amber hue with a creamy light beige head and excellent lacework. The aroma is intensely fruity and flowery with notes of pineapple, mango, dragonfruit, lychee, pine needles, leafy hops, slight dank grassy vapours along with some green tea, rose hips, lemongrass, caramel, biscuit and a touch oniony. The taste is equally acidic, juicy fruit and bitter with a dank and garlic background. The malts are very much a background player here. Finished with a slight teabaggy dryness and some alcohol. The mouth feel is highly aggressive to the point of almost becoming annoying. Yep. A very nice DIPA but could be a touch more balanced but the name could not remain Abrasive.

Can from Bierkoning. Wow. Light amber with top head. Nice hoppy nose. Taste is nice and punchy. Lots of hops packed in there. Nice and bitter finish. Enjoyable. fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2012

Unclear medium to dark orange colour with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, riped orange, acrid bitter, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Originally reviewed: 7/12/10. Poured into a tulip glass. Pours a dark amber hue with a thick off-white head on top. Excellent retention; left spotty lacing all over the glass. Big, powerful citrus notes waft out. Lots of pineapple, grapefruit, with a touch of pine needles.
The body on this beer is a disappointment though. Very slick and thin. Expecting a full-bodied beer, the flatness really let me down. Great flavoring of grapefruit, some sweet orange, candied malts (gives it a sweet punch), and a great bitter afterbite. This is a good beer. Tweak that mouth and this is a stellar beer. (Can) Pours light hazy dark orange to amber with a creamy off-white head. The aroma holds peach, canned pineapple, pear, apple juice, wild strawberries, mango/passion fruit sorbet, juicy melon, lychee, perfume, dank herbs, weed, grass, spicy pine, black tea, mild grapefruit, orange, cheese, toast, caramel and a touch of bread. The nose is fairly complex but not super aggressive (more on the subtle side if you as me). The flavor is light sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic with notes of citrus, wood, pine, herbs, grass, light fruits and clean toast. The mouthfeel is round, creamy and soft with a light carbonation. Pine and grapefruit on the finish. Lingering yet balanced afterbitterness. Medium bodied. saultbauls (2) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - APR 23, 2012 does not count
Awesome beer! Probably my favorite Imperial IPA. I wish they made this year round, but I suppose their Furious will have to do until next year! Cant wait to try their Wet.
