You can see why Surly choose to do an IPA at the ballpark, it gets hot in Minneapolis! An IPA is a great drink to cool down with and that you wont want to dump after it sits in the sun a little too long. As to the other comments that this is just like Furious..... Your wrong. This is not as hoppy as Furious but it does seem a little more bitter. There is a unique difference in the two. I hope that Surly will be able to do a canning run of this in the Baseball off-season. Overall a great beer! falco242 (398) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 24, 2012
UPDATED: APR 25, 2012 At Target Field on tap. Not bad, but really tastes like Furious. Tasty and worth the extra buck or so compared to other beer prices, but really nothing terribly special considering Surly is all over the city. ryrpat (372) - Illinois, USA - NOV 4, 2013
Very nice ipa. Smooth and hoppy. Great copper color was very appealing. Would definitely have this again

At Target Field, watching the Twins get smashed on 4/24/2012. I got pretty Surly.
It pours a dark red/amber color. Minimal off-white head. The smell is straight up flowers. Some malt aromas, but very dry. Taste has some pine, some grapefruit, and a decent amount of caramelly malt. In many ways it reminds me of Furious, though the aroma is quite different. It’s a solid beer in it’s own right. emeinz (220) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Another solid brew from surly. Notes of citrus and floral aromas. Bit of toffee on the nose as well. Amber/caramel pour with moderate white head. Nice bitter finish. Its similar to furious, but different enough to stand on its own. Not bad prices for ballpark beer either. $8.75 for 24 ounces. I was just at Fenway and it was roughly $8/12 ounces of domestic light.

Big floral and citrus hops but not so much the piney in this one. Furious has been my go-to beer for several years now. Tyler, the beer buyer, knows which cooler and the bright red cans I’m headed for when I come in the store, but I have to say that I’m thinking that this beer might supplant Furious if it were available canned and outside of Target field.
I’m making this assertion based on one glass this afternoon, my first baseball game of the summer, in a glorious, brilliant sun watching the Twins come back from a 6 run deficit to beat the Angels, but I’m thinking that the lighter and less assertively bitter qualities of this one could make it my favorite If I didn’t have to invest $8.75 in a 20oz (?) pour on top of a game ticket.
Good beer. Well done Surly.
And, by the way, what IS the appropriate glassware for a beer available only in a ballpark? http://i.imgur.com/Y8XGI.jpg Bestbrew1 (60) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 15, 2013

Well worth waiting in line for this beer at Target Field. Very nice citrus/bitter/sweet combo, great aroma. Selfishly, I hope they make it more available, but having it only at Target Field is good marketing.
