Tap pour during happy hour at Hopcat. Bumped pint glass. Nothing memorable about the aroma or appearance. Brown color with minimal light tan head. Aroma feels slight nutty and maybe a light cereal. Taste is mild and mostly malty. Slight sweetness at the onset. Malts are definitely the star with light coffee and nutty characteristics. Very smooth and simple finish. This is what you would expect. This pours from 16oz can a deep brown with a large tannish head of foam that sticks around forever as a 1 finger layer and there's a butload of sticky lacing.
The smell is of sweet malt, grain, and roasted malt.
The taste has a nice malt sweetness up front. I get caramel malt, chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, and toffee. It has a good thick mouthfeel to it, the carbonation is on the light side, and it finishes slightly bitter and slightly sweet. Very tasty. And with its low abv content, it would be *easy* to kick back a few of these. Wow, this is *so* drinkable indeed!

Dark brown color with amber hues and light brown head. Aroma has toasted malt, some hazelnut, light liquorice and some red fruits. Taste has nice toasted malt, some caramel, sweet coffee, nutty biscuits, quite a lot of flavors. Medium body and carbonation. Really easy drinking yet tasty and complex.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2017 Amber/brown ales are my favorite style of beer so I'm categorically biased but this is probably my second favorite beer of all time behind Two Brothers Cane and Ebel.
