From the blackest depths of the brewhouse comes Damien, Child of Darkness. Spawned from the usually discarded remnants of Darkness, Damien is a dry-hopped black ale. Flavors of roasted malt and dark brown sugar suffocated by aromas of tangerine and pine.

Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine - perfume, herbs, floral, orange - citrus, tangerine. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, floral - herbs, roasted, dark malt, hoppy, orange - tangerine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20150502]

CBC Green Session. Keg. Light haze on this dark amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and flat. Modest tangy dark malts, equally modest tangy fruits. Light finish. Flat and dull. Very disappointing.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session 4, 02/05/2015. Light black with a decent tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is rich dark fruits, toffee, charr, brown sugar, earthy hop. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, liqourice, dark berry fruit, pine needle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough fayre.
