Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014 (both regular version and a cask version dry hopped with Glacier): Pours black with a medium light beige head that diminishes gradually to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, piney hops and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of resiny hops, burnt malt and citrus. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hops aftertaste. 2015, Green Session - fuzzy dark brown to black coloured pour with a beige/tan head. Aroma and taste is a mix of roasted malts and citric fruity, prominent hoppy, dark fruits,pine needles, big toffee, caramel, cocoa, roasted hoppy finish.
Draught @ CBC 2015. Pours black with a brown head, lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, wood, chocolate, fruit. Flavor is malts, coffee, licorice, light sourness, fruity hops, pine. Medium body, soft carbonation. 020515

On tap at The Depot Tavern. Pours black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of dark grains and earthy roasted malts with a bit of earthy grass underlying. Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and citrus. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate, caramel and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Poured at Star Bar? Nice deep brown, light brown head. Roasty and hoppy. Both are well represented in this one. Some light molasses and cocoa dance around. Good beer.
