COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like Hops? You’ll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it’s about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 18/20
OnWisconsin (132) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Appearance is a dark golden/amber color with a nice 2 finger head with tight bubbles. Aroma was hit with nice piney notes followed by a hint of grapefruit. The taste followes the nose, however, the pine notes is diminished some while the middle of the palate has more grapefruit and citrus I thought I would have. Very much a fan with this having the perfect ratio of pine and citrus. Mouthfeel is light to medium, best described as crisp and refreshing.

16floz can, COD: 05.04.2017, $2.75 as a single, pint glass. Appears a dark amber with a large initial head that settles unevenly. Currants, citrus, and honey notes evident in the nose and taste. Medium-full in body, a jammy IPA that has a decent malt backing to the bitterness from the hops. A noteworthy amber AIPA.

Jake Melnick's, Chicago, draft. Light copper color. Off-white head. Not much lacing. More than a hint of malt. Deep, rich taste. It's good.

16 oz can from a four pack. Dated 6/20/17, about a month and a half ago. Aroma is citrusy, floral, caramel. Pours hazy copper with a one finger beige head with good retention and some lace. Taste is medium to highly bitter, some candy sweetness, with flavors that match the aroma. Not bad, but I was expecting more.

ALIBALI (2316) - Kiel, GERMANY - AUG 2, 2017
Wow!!! Aber IPA!? Pint Can von Scottyyyy🎆!! ✨ A Big Fish oder sollte ich lieber Rothaut sagen 😁?

Got this via trade at a 4th of July party. Very strong fresh pine on the nose. Probably the strongest IPA nose I’ve had. Dark caramel color in the glass. Lots of hoppiness up front and a good deal of bitterness in the aftertaste. This all sits on top of a solid malty base. This is a pretty good IPA that stands out from the crowded IPA masses.

Tall boy into a pint glass. Pours a reddish brown, with a large khaki head that gradually fades. Minimal lacing. Nose is a pleasant hop aroma. Taste is well-balanced, with a malt backbone able to stand up to the hoppy finish. Nice, well made.

Dark red orange pour with an off-white head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, grass, and caramel. Follows the nose. Lingering piney aftertaste. Firm bitterness. Dry finish. Medium light body.
