Its been said; "Its easier to brew an extremely hoppy beer than an extremely balanced beer." And you know us, we are always looking for the easy way out, so we jumped on the West Coast IPA bandwagon and brewed this dry and hoppy ale. "Surlys a little bit of a one-trick pony, they just brew gimmick beers," and maybe we are OVERRATED, but at the end of the day, its just a beer. If you like it, great, so do we. If you only liked us when we were small, then leave this one on the shelf. Let one of the fanboys grab it.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2015 My Bottom Line:
This very fruity IPA delves deep into tropical territories before letting resins and hay brush a finer portrait.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy blond.
-Carbonation is relatively low and feels natural, which increases drinkability.
-For people in the Northeast, this is very similar to what most Vermont breweries are cranking out these days in terms of IPAs (though not as dank).
-This is not nearly as malty as their Furious.
-The hop fruitiness yields citrus, bananas and flowers.

Soft peachy gold pour with one finger of offwhite head. Nose is peachy and spicy with woody hops and a resinous quality. Resinous and spicy with a firm bitterness and citrus notes. Medium full bodied with a peachy finish.

Clean, sunny blonde appearance. Aromas are hop forward but restrained a bit, suggesting dandelions, pine resins, cannabis and the softest hint of honey. Lighter malts only. An herbal, sprightly pepper like sensation is always there and hard to label. Similarly, rosemary and white pepper notes decorate the flavor with a delicate, fresh spiciness, over the basic canvas of grapefruit, stone fruit skins and pine resin. Clean and dry mouthfeel; fresh at the source, this is pretty on point.

Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet citrus hop notes- almost candied tropical fruits, grapefruit, light pine resin. Inviting. Medium bodied. Flavor is along the lines of the aroma with a little less sweetness. Very enjoyable brew.

16oz can. Pours golden orange with a foamy white head. Had a ton of sediment, but it didnt taste old. Aroma is of hops, caramel, and pine. Taste is of juicy hops, citrus, and caramel. Has a strong lingering pine flavor. The alcohol is definitely there. Mouthfeel is very soapy. As it warms up, the more the pine flavor comes through. Has a very bready malt backbone that evens the beer out. Its not overly bitter or hoppy, but it goes down easy. After a few sips, each sip ends with a slight alcohol burn. Its good, but nothing amazing. It does the job.

Clear golden-yellow with plenty of carbonation and a large, spongy head. Aroma is vegetable garden, citrus, flowers. Taste is sweet then hoppy; not like candy, more like a subtly-sweetened soda; hops flavors are mostly pine and floral, not very bitter. Smooth body, dry finish. Not as overwhelmingly huge as a lot of West coast IPAs.

Aroma is mangoes/pomegranate, citrus and a hint of Belgian sugar. The flavor is citrus, mangoes/pomegranate, fruit, mild hop resin, malts and a mix of bitter and pine needles in the finish.

Hazy gold pour with some tiny dark floaties and a two finger, fluffy off white head. Aroma is candy citrus, a little toast, tree fruit, a hint of pine and some light floral notes. Flavor is slightly sweet, toasty malt up front, then some sweet orange, turning into a sort of Five-Alive citrus punch-like citrus note, a little biscuit, some fruity floral and light pine, the juicy citrus notes definitely own this one. Light to medium body, creamy to juicy feel, light, blanketing, somewhat sharp carbonation and more dry, but still pretty juicy finish, with a decent hop acid bite. It has a really awesomely well suited feel. The whole thing feels a bit like orange juice with carbonation. Really good stuff overall, solid hop notes, could stand to be a little stronger though.

Look: pours a yellow color. Very clear. Bright white head. Smell: grapefruit. Dank. Cat pee. Slightly floral. Taste: grapefruit. Cat pee. Feel: very dry. Medium high carbonation. Leaves a thick film on the mouth. Overall: great beer. Well done west ipa. Not overly hyped in my opinion. First drank: home 3/11/15 Vintage: 2/23/15
