Can. Lighter orange-amber pour with a nice white head, good lacing. Aromas of pine resin, citrus and pineapple. Nice hoppy bitterness, but sweetens as it warms, with a full bodied flavour, lots of citrus and some tropical fruit. Quite a nice IPA.

Can : Pour is cloudy , medium golden with a modest white head into this glass. The nose is light dank, biscuits, moving to orange rind and mango. The flavor profile is bittering light pine initial, with tangerine and orange rind presence, light breaded malts, with a somewhat sweet caramel note. It’s Ok. It’s been said; "It’s easier to brew an extremely hoppy beer than an extremely balanced beer." And you know us, we are always looking for the easy way out, so we jumped on the West Coast IPA bandwagon and brewed this dry and hoppy ale. "Surly’s a little bit of a one-trick pony, they just brew gimmick beers," and maybe we are OVERRATED, but at the end of the day, it’s just a beer. If you like it, great, so do we. If you only liked us when we were small, then leave this one on the shelf. Let one of the fanboys grab it.

Can dated 6/3/14 poured into a pint glass.
Appearance-The beer pours a somewhat hazy apricot with a finger of off white head that slowly shrinks and leaves plenty of lacing.
Aroma-Sharp pine aromas mix with tropical fruit. Oranges, apricots, and sweet caramel meld together nicely.
Taste-Pine resin hits the tongue immediately. It is joined by a orange, greapefruit, mix that finishes with a nice, somewhat sweet caramel malt.
Palate-The beer is juicy up front and fairly dry in the finish. Almost perfectly executed for the style.
Overall-Very good west coast style IPA. Not the best in the style, but damn close. Find it and buy it.
