UPDATED: APR 3, 2014 Gotta say: I really like the copy on the can and I think it makes me like this beer more than I would otherwise. As it says, this is a great big IPA and itís dry and super bitter. This style has always worked for me and I am always happy to try another. In this case, the beer is a slightly hazed orange color w/ a wispy white head of mixed-size bubbles. Nose is mostly citrus and pine but there is a faint note of lavender in the background which seems to come out more once the beer is tasted. There is a very slight sweetness to this, just a bit of sugar that floats over the top of the tongue to be demolished by a hefty smack of bitterness in the finish. As it warms, the texture thickens a bit and brings out some juicy citrus notes. Definitely, seeking this out is a no-brainer if you are into this kind of beer. Pours a very hazy light copper-orange color with a lot of particles in suspension. The wispy thin white head laces the glass. Citrus aroma. The flavor is balanced with sweet malt, orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, and resinous notes. Medium body and carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel. Finishes dry. csaso (2266) - Missouri, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Tap - small foamy head, medium copper color, big time grapefruit hoppy aroma and flavor, mild malt backbone - excellent if you are like me and like the big hops!

Bottle share @ Surly Darkness day 2013. Hazy golden with a fluffy white head. Sweet citrus, hop juice, pine resin, slightly bitter. Finish is a bit dry with notes of grass and toasted malt. GenDV138 (7229) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAR 17, 2014
Can (dated 1/2/14) poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy light golden yellow with tiny bits of sediment and about a finger of off-white head. Good lacing. Aromas of citrus, caramel, resin, light tropical fruit, floral notes. Tasting notes of grapefruit citrus, bitter pine, resin, big bitter piney hops. Juicy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Had this before on 6/1/13 with a 5/8/13 dated can and my notes are pretty identical so it seems like the beer hasnít fallen off too much after two months.

Can as shown. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy off white head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong pine resin and hemp. Medium mouthfeel with very bitter hop, pine, and nice bitter finish Ataraxia (531) - California, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Slightly hazy orange-tinged gold color, frothy white head. Mild citrus and grapefruit, but dominated by hay and caramel as itís almost 5 months old. The malty sweetness is restrained despite the age. Smooth, a bit of hop oiliness, and a resinous bitter finish. johnnymusky (983) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 6, 2014

Can packaged in December. Yeah, itís a bit oxidized. Iíll rerate with a fresh one. Still holding up pretty well. Lots of linalool on the nose. with some sherry oxidation. As to be expected. Still a good hoppy flavor, but a bit of that trans 2 is coming through. Pretty nice. backdaft (286) - Menasha Red Light District, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 25, 2014
Can courtesy of aetheon. Pours a clear golden color. Thin white head and minimal lacing. Aroma is quite resinous and piney with a good bit of citrus. Taste is bitter, resinous, grapefruit-like hops. Medium bodied and nicely carbonated. The finish has a nice dry lingering bitterness. Very very nice IPA!
