HuskerTan (2322) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - MAY 15, 2016
Bottle. A- Sour cherry, subtle funk. A- Reddish brown color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Slightly sour, tart, subtle funk, oak, sour cherry. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, tart finish. O- Certainly not worth the price of admission at $23 a a bomber but fair. Not too much Brett funk but instead a decent overtone of sour cherry and oak. The wine barrels impart a subtle flavor addition but it’s not overwhelming. Tastes more like a Sour red/brown.

Tap at the brewery. Murky brown with no head. Tart grape aroma, with light honey and oak. Very malty and winey flavor. Grape forward with a slightly tart edge. Quite pinot-ish. Tannic. Tastes much like a great pinot spiked with a caramel malt laden ale.

Medium to full body with a sticky tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & tart flavor with a medium to heavy tart & sour finish of moderate to long duration.
