Had this at the release party at Brasa’s on 11/30/09. Was poured from tap into a 10oz glass. Little to no head was a little bit of a dissappointment, not sure if that was caused by the pour or if it is just that way. Needless to say, the lack of head hindered the aroma of the beer a little. Smelled of slight smoke and a subtle sweetness. What a taste though! Very smooth with a slight smoke taste that ends with a subtle sweetness, just like the smell I guess. Very drinkable! With a name like Smoke, I was expecting a Smoked Porter taste but was pleasantly surprised. This is an extremely good beer. PhillyBeer2112 (2850) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Nice big smoke nose and flavor. A little peppery hot and rough through the finish. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 1, 2010
Courtesy of Blazer06. It pours amber with hues of copper and brass to go along with an off white head. The aroma is light bacon with a sense of roasty malts and trying to move into a plastic sense. The taste is pretty full and rich with sweet malts, crystal malts, some roast and tasty bacony camp fire goodness. It stays smoky bacon to mild smoky burnt notes into the finish to go along with some ripe sweet cherries. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 1, 2010

Dark brown, thinnest cream ring for a head. Nose of decent smoke, light lactose, and some grain. Flavor has heavy chocolate and light smoke, a bit ashy but with a decent roasted malt finish. Too creamy for a smoke, more like a smoked porter with the heavy lactic and sweet chocolate, and for that it comes off a bit thin. Not enough smoke to make the beer memorable and not enough integration with the porter to see this as complete

Big thanks to Kevin for sharing this one!
A-pours a dark black liquid with a little tan colored head that is tight and creamy.
S-the nose brings a ton of smokiness up front, lots of roasted and smokey malty goodness. notes of chocolate and anise. sweetness and hops in the back, plums, grassy hops.
T-the taste is even smokier. lots of smoke dark malts, chocolate, anise behind. plums and raisins in the back with a light grassy hop presence.
M-the feel is so smooth and creamy on the palate. the carb is light but enough to hold the body throughout. hint of crispness at the finish with just a touch of dry in the back.
D-definitely a good bit of smoke with a good malty sweetness and nice hop presence in the finish. solid drink here with some nice maltiness going on. ChainGangGuy (4894) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - MAY 30, 2010
Appearance: Pours out a near black body with a bubbly, ecru head on top, though this dies out fairly quickly.
Smell: The aroma is smelling of moderately roasted grains, shaved chocolate, a teaspoon of ground coffee, and ripe dark fruits, though it’s superseded by a scent of quality smoked meats.
Taste: Upfront roastiness with a marked sweetness, moreso than I’d expected. Additional toastiness. Handful of chocolate sprinkles tossed with a handful of Bacon Bits. Small splash of mild-mannered coffee. Fruit compote comprised of plums and Medjool dates. It’s brimming with clean smokiness, though it’s never overpowering or overbearing. Slight charred bitterness. Soft, smoke-accented finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-light carbonation. Fairly creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: This one was very easy to down. What else can you say? It’s a good Baltic Porter brimming with smooth smokiness. gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - MAY 29, 2010
POurs dark brown. Nose is heavy smoke, bacon, roasted grain, burnt coffee. Flavor is rich smoke, flavorful as all hell. Most smoke beers are over the top rauch malt, but this absolutely beautiful. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2010
Thanks to blazer 06 for this one. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is spice, earth, roast, lager, sweetness, dark fruit, and smoke. Flavor is similar with lots of, well, smoke. All of the flavor in the aroma come out, but with smokiness seeming to dominate. Band-aid lingers into finish. Would love to try the unsmoked version. 750ml bottle thanks to mikesgroove.
Appearance : Black, small head
Aroma : Smoke, roasted malt, caramel.
Taste : Smoke, roasted malt and caramel. Noce smokiness and roastiness on the finish. No trace of alcohol. Fairly dry.
Overall : Wow this was really awesome. Really drinkable and tasty. Body is rather thin. So much flavour in a thin, well balanced drinkable beer. Not much complexity but just really well done.
