This beer pours a dark brownish-black color with a medium tan head that recedes to a film eventually. Spotty lacing on the glass. Smoky, roasty aroma with notes of malt and chocolate. Medium body with a subtle smoked character, possibly tempered by the oak aging? Notes of dark chocolate and coffee as well. The finish is roasted malt with a touch of dark fruit on the back end. Pretty good overall.

Good smokiness on this one. Smoke dominates the baltic porter. Slight oak but not much.

thewolf (12533) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2013
Tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, Cph. Pours deep red to black with a small, creamy, beige film head. Aroma has light smoke, somewhat stale, dark chocolate, nuts, soft roasted. Low carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has firm roasted malts, dark chocolate, affirmative smoke, fairly sweet. Lingering malty bitter finish. A bit simple and brash really.

"An aggressively sour ale. Light in body, prickly. Berries, vinegar and oak are the main players in both aroma and flavor. Some lemony funk in the flavor as well. Really nice brew."
