Goodbye world, drinking this after 2 pub stops and a few other beers at home, big thick body which I thoroughly enjoy, massively orange and virgin wood taste rocks good amount of heat in the finish but not unpleasantly so. Good hearty beer. Dave11899 (23) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Poured from the limited one time release bottle. Nearly 2 years after available (on 06/22/14).
Pours a cloudy orange with a off white white head that diminishes quickly.
Aroma is of floral hops, alcohol and bright refreshing characteristics. Similar to an IPA on a hot day.
Taste is boozy with honey, bread and slight caramel. This isn’t a bad thing as it is still sweet up front with a slight hops bitterness lingering.
Palette is average. Nothing note worthy. Just sharp and awakening.
Overall. Incredible. I will continue to search for more bottles. Probably the best beer to come from Surly except for Darkness.

Bottle, thnx to Summer Santa. Cheers. Pours a clear orange beer with a small white head on top. Aroma is very strong, oranges, Belgian yeast, red fruits, booze. Flavor is very strong, lots of alcohol and oranges with some apples in the background. Very fruity, loads of yeast and booze. A bit unbalanced and it has a strong alcoholic burn in the finish. Very full, complex but a bit messy. Nice, but tad too old I guess. PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 4, 2014
At Zeebra Beer Festival, THX to everybody sharing today’s beers.

TASTE: hoppy, fruity, rather sweet. sherm1016 (1274) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2014
Draft at MacKenzie. Pours a crystal clear amber color with a white head and some lacing. Aroma is fruity, peach, plum, acetone. Medium to heavy on the palate with creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, boozy, a little oak, vanilla, caramel malt, some bread, maybe some dark fruit, raisin, some grass, with a weird, boozy, fruity finish. Not Surly’s best effort.

Clear deep golden color, small white head. Whitewineish, apple fruity nose. Medium-bodied. Loads of alcohol, very fruity and strong. Booze knock-out. Duh.
Bottle 75 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a white head. Aroma is dominated by honey and BOOZE - tons of booze. Not overly heavy in body, again honeyish, some vanilla and a slight tartness. But again, this is really all about the booze and nothing much more. Not overly refined. 291013
