Bottle at home. Dark copper pour with white head. Nice aroma, Brett isn’t overpowering. Tastes great. Moderately bitter, earthy spice, some spicy Brett on the back end. Solid. drpimento (3799) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 1, 2017
At first I thought this was going to be a really great sour hoppy beer. And with the aroma that it has it seemed to confirm my first impression. Appearance was really good too with the huge foamy fluffy frothy off-white head that lasts a long time and has plenty of lace. But then with the flavor almost all the Hop disappears. Left with some malt and tart decent enough drinking but nothing too special. MetalNHopHead (2223) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - SEP 17, 2017
Brett IPA's aren't anything new, but Surly's focus on New Zealand hop varietals is a smart idea. It helps to enhance the vinous character that often reveals itself in Brett beers. Unbridled pours amber-gold with an off-white head. Funky barnyard bacteria and dank, floral, and woody hops on the nose. Pepper, fruit rind, citrus, and earth flavors. The bitter/tart sensations are prominent but there's some pleasant undercurrents of sweetness. Balanced feel that is both refreshing and creamy. There's the light fizziness of a Brett ale with the velvety viscous character of oat. For a Farmhouse IPA, this is up there with anything that's been done by Crane or Anchorage. drfabulous (8677) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - AUG 31, 2017

A- Barnyard, earthy, mold, musty.
A- Orange color, clear liquid, off white head.
T- Brett, mold, barnyard, straw, mild citrus, earthy.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish.
O- This smelled horrendous but I enjoyed it in a way. Tons of that nasty barnyard funk everywhere. Wasn’t bitter at least. Somehow it was tolerable.
Rich amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast/brett, funk, herbal hops, & fruit/citrus; Flavor of malt/biscuit, yeast/brett, floral hops, some pine, fruit, and citrus; Finish is slightly bitter; Nicely balanced; Good Belgium style IPA. ads135 (5053) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 11, 2017
Pretty good IPA. The brett lends a nice tartness that merges nicely with the lemon citrus hoppiness. Quite a bit of bite. Very tasty. crossovert (14019) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 22, 2017
Draft. Amber pour. It smells and tastes nice and bretty, a touch to malty, funky spicy, sweet. tennisjoel (1494) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Copper colored hazy classy look. Bretty funk takes front stage with citrus hops and caramel malts in the background. We’ll put together with a semi-dry finish. Another nice beer from Surly. Carlisle (817) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Draft. Pours deep amber with off-white head and lacing. Pine and spice aroma. Grapefruit and pepper with herbal notes. Dry finish.
