Can. A golden beer with beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, and lemons. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, hops, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2012
Can 1 pt. Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a deep golden with a slight haze and a dense and lacing off-white head. Herbal, hoppy aroma. Medium body, a dry fruitiness, slightly tart with a massive bitterness. Not a very distinct or crisp hoppiness though. 200312 KickInChalice (860) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2012
From notes. First reviewed 11/19/2011. "Poured from a 16oz. can into a pint glass.
Wet has a transparent bronze color. It appears to be filtered, which kind of surprises me. A frothy off-white head leaves a thick sheet of lace down the side of the glass.
A nice sweetness in the aroma falls somewhere between earthy and caramel malt. The malt is just a backbone for the huge Citra and more moderate Simcoe hop notes. With this much mango, pineapple, grapefruit, papaya, and pine, we are in good shape.
Some lightly caramel malt has a light earthy quality as well. An explosion of robust, bitter, and delicous hops. Citra and Simcoe, indeed. Mango, pineapple, grapefruit, papaya, and spicy pine are all fully developed and delicious. The finish has a juicy hop bitterness to it.
There is such a great smoothness to the feel. It drinks right in the middle of the spectrum, with a light to medium carbonation and a bit of hoppy residue.
Overall this is just a great wet hop beer. This is everything I am looking for in a great, drinkable IPA. Smooth, hoppy, and full of juicy fruit, with a bitterness that complements the flavor instead of replacing it.

unmatched flavor. wet is the perfect name for this beer because as you drink it, it casues your mouth to water. unlike anything i’ve ever had. amazing! FURLYSURIOUS (263) - Orono, Minnesota, USA - FEB 14, 2012
What a delight, canned just days ago, very clear straw color with beads of plenty, soft white cap.
Smells fan-freakin-tastic, freshest of fresh, floral, citrus, just plain fresh.
Like drinking hops before they’ve been harvested, just so goddamn fresh, very very tasty.
Maybe the weakest point of the beer which doesn’t really say much, but its just a bit thin for me.
Overall this is an absolute must, I’d say be mindful of the canning date though, if it’s more than a couple of weeks old, you sort of lose the whole nostalgia of the beer. MrPickles (438) - Waunakee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 13, 2012
Can to glass to mouth. Hop forward as the description states. I wish that I had tried the older styles, however not sure how much the differences are noticeable. valpoaj (742) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Draft pour on a recently tapped keg - amazing, penetrating aroma - best I can remember from an IPA - citrus aromas are incredible, but a floral note is there as well - just grand (gave me a reason to come rate again after a long absence, even if I took the notes 3 months ago). Taste is obviously hop forward, but just incredibly clean and easy to drink. Might just be the best ’single’ IPA I’ve tried in my life...great work Surly! anders37 (26137) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JAN 23, 2012
