500mL can, sent from khoffman43 (thanks Kyle), pours a clear copper / gold with a small white head. Aroma of freshly cut grass, zesty hops and some citrus notes. Flavour of wet citrusy, grassy hops, some zest, and just enough crisp crackery malt to back. Highly drinkable, dominated by the citrus and zest - very nicely hoppy and dry, with medium astringency on the finish. Really excellent thirst-quenching IPA. brokensail (16436) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 29, 2012
Hazed orange pour with a white head. Nose opens up with sweet citrus notes of grapefruit and tangerine. Some nice floral hops, a touch of bread, and some mild pine. The flavor is almost all tangerine and grapefruit. Mild pine bitterness, some sweet bread and malt notes, and a light floral quality. Very drinkable. Could be a tad dryer, though. djd07 (14366) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 19, 2013
Can. Pours a clear orange gold with a medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a strong floral hop and pine, just amazing nose. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet floral malt and very strong hop bite and nice lingering bitter finish. Hides alcohol decently, a very impressive IPA from Surly. Sample at Falling Rock Beer Tasting with Dr. Bill on 10/13/2012. Pours a clear copper-bronze color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character that has citrus and herbal notes. Some malt an grass in the background. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruit aftertaste. Very good fresh hop beer overall. crossovert (12666) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 26, 2012
Potent fresh hop beer. Love the simcoe. It isnt as complex as others but it packs a.punch for a wet ipa.

Big white head and big lacing on a light golden head. Very fresh and drinkable. Leafy minty, hops in the finish. Smooth mouthfeel.
Thanks for sharing Johnsense. shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Can. Orange juice and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderate bitter orange peel flavor. Nice body. Very nice. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 25, 2012
Can @ Brad’s house. Pours a clear, dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Mild cat piss, onion, somewhat spicy hoppy, herbal aroma. Kind of tangy, orange/apple fruity, somewhat spicy, light furniture polish flavor. Ok but I was a bit disappointed. BVery (10327) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - OCT 2, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Can. Bright orange pour with a clingy white head. Big citrus and herbal hop aroma and taste. This is super good. phaleslu (10104) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 20, 2015
16 oz. can sampled at Mark’s gigantic tasting. Pours a barely cloudy gold with a small white head that fades. Kind of soapy, with citrus peel, pale and cereal malts, straw, and sugars. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, sweet, smooth mouthfeel. It’s fine, but doesn’t leave much of an impression. The other year(s) I’ve had of this worked better for me.
