This beer is a must try for fresh Hop lovers! Medium bodied with a nice golden yellow color Poured from 16oz tall boy can into tulip glass leaves a nice foamy white head that lasts for a few minutes , sweet after taste is light and malty. Leaves some lacing on the glass. Hops are resiny with citrus lemony grass notes Smooth and very drinkable beer.Amazing finish with this beer! One of the best beers they put out. Definitly one of the top 3 in my opinion. Nice and fresh and a beer of theirs that is worth seeking out. Wet and Abrasive are currently my two favorite beers of theirs. DalzAle (2036) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - OCT 2, 2012
Can. Clear medium golden pour, nice frothy head and a crisp juicy prickly pear hops aroma. Flavor is also juicy spicy light fruits, dry crisp citrus and nice and pleasantly lingering bitters on the aftertaste. Canít complain a bit about this beer, always a solid release every year. islay (2634) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 3, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2015 2012 edition (rating entered 11-3-15): 16 oz. can, consumed on 11-1-12. The second can I had from a four-pack, and I enjoyed the first one just as much as I did this one. Awesome, hops-centric aroma: Dry, bitter, mineral-y smell featuring citrus, peach, apricot, cracker, and bread scents as well as, yes, cat urine (I dislike that deScription because it canít help but come off as critical, even though I donít mean it as such). Very strong and perfect wet-hopped IPA aroma. Pours a clear gold with slow-rising bubbles and a moderate amount of long-lasting, thick, cream-colored head. Produces very good lacing. Sharp, dry, mineral-y, grainy flavor matches the aroma. Lemon, peach, vanilla, and gin and tonic / quinine elements in the taste. Alcohol noticeable in the flavor. Long, dry aftertaste. Easy to drink but filling. Very lively; soft and smooth in the palate. Medium body. Surly Wet 2012 is one of the best beers Iíve had in years. You canít ask for much more in the style or, really, any style. This beer is well made, highly aromatic and flavorful, and simply excellent! 10/4/9/4/18=>4.5. 2015 edition (rating entered 10-8-15): 10 oz. pour, on tap at Surly Beer Hall in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 10-6-15. Perfect IPA appearance. Hazy bronze with a moderate amount of taupe head. Long-lasting head. Produces good lacing. Awesome aroma. I closed my eyes involuntarily to take it in. Citrus and just a touch of cat urine in the smell. Lemon, orange, and cereal grains scents. I canít ask for more in aroma. Darn near perfect taste as well. Gorgeous in flavor. Dry and buttery (but not in the form of diacetyl). Tastes like sautťed hops. Medium body. Lively and smooth in the palate. Substantial, dry finish and aftertaste. A bit of lightly floral, sweet brine in an almost Islay Scotch sort of way. Medicinal, dry finish in a good way. Pine flavor. Close to the best beer Iíve ever had and clearly the best IPA Iíve ever had. A masterpiece! Fresh, bitter, and delicious. Itís like the garden, the sea, and a perfectly cooked meal at the same time. The ocean meets the garden in a temperate seaside paradise. What all IPAs should aspire to be. About as close as Iíve come ever to giving a beer a 5. Epicly fantastic. Simultaneously sensually subtle and a flavor bomb. 10/4/10/4/19=>4.7. Combined rating: 10/4/10/4/18=>4.6. Bacterial (2986) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - OCT 4, 2012
Pour from a can. Really nice citrus nose with a little grassiness, white head. Lots of citrus grapefruit, just thick enough to bring the party all around your mouth and a really nice, subdued bitterness in the finish. Nice work guys.

Bombtastic brew! Head was dense like whip cream on top of a bright golden yellow body. Aroma grassy, tangerines. Very nice honey presence and transitions to hop finale. tropical fruit, mint, grapefruit and spicy sensation Of bitterness. Mouth feel smooth and lively medium carbonation. Thanks DMCproductions for this killer venture thru simcoe row! mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 27, 2012
This stuff is great to just sniff. Iíd buy cologne that smelled like this. Best smelling beer out there. Taste is great too. $16/4-pack. SSmith2012 (11) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 28, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2012 Pours a deep golden color with a one finger sticky and creamy white foam head. Head retains for a few minutes and leaves good sticky lacing behind. The aroma is of pine and citrus from the 100% Simcoe hops used. The flavor is a blast of bitter and woodsy hops with some pine and grapefruit. The flavor mellows out on the finish and leaves a really great earthy and hemp-like aftertaste that is all fresh Simcoe. This is my favorite vintage of "Wet" so far, and Iíve tried them all. The wetter the better! LamarBurton (376) - California, USA - SEP 28, 2012
2012 Can to surly stein. Pour is a clear light honey gold, with a lasting white head that sticks around till the bitter (and I mean that) end. Aroma is a bit more subdued than I thought it would be (but I am congested as hell, so WTF do I know), but lots of citrus zest is present. Slightly herbal quality. Taste is pretty amazing. Lots and lots of ressiny citrus oil/resin, with grapefruit really powering through. Not overly bitter, but it sticks around a while in a very balanced way. Light sweet malt present throughout, a touch sweeter than I would have liked. Overall, very impressive! burgy (456) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - OCT 2, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2012 2012 Vintage - First taste of this bad boy today. Aromatics start when you pop the top... It fills the room with hoppy goodness. Fresh grapefruit, citrus forward notes in the smell (I recommend covering your glass, swirling and then taking one whiff of this awesomeness).... Appearance is light gold in color with LOTS of head; foams right up when you pour the beer. Taste starts with straight lager flavors and then the hop kicks in and really says, "HEY!" Palate is normal and full it does leave a resin on the teeth though. Overall, bumped it up in score!
