Cask, Occasional;
Hammer Mild - ABV 3.8% A traditional dark mild with a wonderful malt base and mouthfeel. There are some lovely delicate hop characters present to complement the malt flavour. Very different from our other beers...

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Light chocolate aroma with a boiled veg edge. Dark cola brown. Thin bubbly beige head. Initially a light sweet malty choolate. Does develop a bitter coffee berry streak to keep things interesting. Light bodied and thin. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. Decent mild.

Cask. Very dark brown in colour. Very Malty (lots of chocolate, some coffee, lots of roast malts). Slightly sour fruity (berries). Sweet-bitter in taste. Full-flavoured for ABV. Nice tasty Mild Ale. (2008)

Cask, gravity, at Luton Beer Festival ’11. Very dark brown, near black, with a small off white head. Rather a sulphurous aroma.Taste has a little sourness, faint malt and dryness. My first from this brewery, and it’s not a promising start, I’m afraid.

DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2011
Cask handpull, SIBA Champions Fest 2011, The Canalhouse, Nottingham. Burgundy under a fine beige top. A level of complexity above the other beers I’ve had today. Aroma; dung, cigars, dead leaves. Lots of dung. Flavour; burnt nuts, chocolate-dusted leaf matter. Slippery condition. Love a mild when it’s not.

Cask (GBBF2010)
7 Lovely rich chocolatey aroma.
4 Deep reddy brown, small head
6 Dry burntness, but well short of ashy. Some dark berries for tart sweetness too.
3 Not a simple palate, it’s quite agresively sharp.
11 Too sharp to hook me as a mild.

One of the best beers in the bar I was volunteering. Nice head and spicy features, not so watery and very dark.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A real dark colour with no real head. Plenty of malt in the aroma with hints of coffee, the taste is all malt with coffeee again with a soft finish.

[email protected] Deep ambery brown colour with small off-white head. Aroma is coffee, caramel, chocolate, roast and some mild notes of ashes. Flavour is ashes, dark dry fruits and some mild caramel malts. A rather balanced and nice mild ale.

Almost a perfect mild. Great malt taste with the darker malts being wonderfully balanced. Has plenty of body but still slips down very easily.
