@Pangaea. Thick and resinous. a little better than the regular Franklin head to head. sweeter and a little more dank on the hops. super fresh also.

Draft @ 13th Bistro Double IPA Festival, Hayward, CA. Pours a golden pale amber color with an off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy piney grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter piney flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Very nice. Well crafted. Aroma is caramel with citrus floral hop nose. Looks copper gold with ok legs. Taste is hop resin up front with spicy earthy aftertaste and lots of full body malts to back it up. Overall it’s a really nice beer. It’s a triple IPA and its brewed true to form .

From Tap: Clear dark golden pour with no head. Sweet light malts and resiny hops . Alcohol is decently masked. Flavor is very resin + Citrusy but not harsh. Decent but not outstanding. Pour was flat and needed a bit more carbonation.

Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and tropical fruit flavor with caramel. medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and tropical fruit lingers with caramel.

On tap at Beer Revolution. Pours with a mostly clear golden hue with a very minimal white head. Aroma is pungently hoppy, herbal, sticky orange, slightly rotten fruit. Lightly estery, and sticky with a somewhat too sweet caramel malt profile. Flavors are herbaceous, dank, peach and a bit herbal from the hops. Lots of dry hopped grassy flavors. A bit too sticky and sweet for my liking. Some pine and tropical fruit notes. Heavy body with very light carbonation (which hurt an already big DIPA like this). Just too sweet overall. Kind of hard to drink. I’m afraid, as much as I wanted to, I didn’t really like this one. Not my favorite take on the style.

Tap at Pangaea in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy near opaque amber tinged gold. While bubbles for head. Aroma is quite citric. Flavor is peachy overrun by citrus. I can imagine mango. It is very smooth, has a strong light malt presence and is very bitter, but not harshly so. It has lots of shifting flavors and quite a bit of body.

On tap at Pangaea, Sacramento. Pours hazy apple juice color with no head, just a few bubbles, and a fruit and pine aroma. There is a peach-like malty flavor with a lot of pine bitterness and a very yeasty presence. This beer is a chameleon - it changes from cloudy to clear and from sweet to bitter in a flash. Very complex for a DIPA.
